WBMDFC Merit Cum Means Scholarship

The West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation invites online application for Merit Cum Means Scholarship Fresh & Renewal for the year 2018-19.

Eligibility

** Students must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal.
** Students pursuing UG/PG level of professional technical courses are eligible to apply.

** Annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakhs.
** May be required for uploading the original scanned documents.

Procedure For Applying

Eligible students are to apply online at National Scholarship Portal. Just follow the below steps to apply for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship Fresh & Renewal 2018-19.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of National Scholarship Portal

Fresh

Step 2 : For Fresh Registration students click on the New Registration link in the home page.

Step 3 : A new page requesting to enter the personal data will be displayed. Fill student registration form.

Step 4 : Click on the Check boxes of Aadhar consent, Bank Account and Application form. After entering all required details Click on the Register button.

Step 5 : Student registration ID will be displayed. (Note down the Student Registration ID number for further reference and enquiries. Click on “Continue” button, it will take you to the Login Page.

Step 6 : The login id and password to log into NSP portal will be your Application Id and DOB respectively.

Step 7 : After Login Student will get OTP of 5 digits on Registered Mobile Number. Confirm OTP will take you to Change Password Page and Change your password as per instruction in the same page.

Step 8 : Click ‘’Apply’’ button and enter below details

** Basic Details

Step 9 : After entering above details click on “Save & Continue” to Switch on to next Page. Applicant is directed to see the next page for “Contact Details & Scheme Details”

** Enter your contact details.
** Based on eligibility criteria of the student, schemes will be displayed.

** Select “MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES MINORITIES CS” for Merit Cum Means courses (Including Listed Institutes).

** After selecting the scheme, in the same page an Upload Document section will be displayed – upload your documents therein (MCM / Top Class Students only).

** Re-check all your entries, uploaded documents, before finally submitting the application, as there will be no provision to amend or alter it thereafter.

Step 10 : Click on Final Submit. Take a print on Clicking print Button for further reference and as an Acknowledgement.

Renewal

Step 1 : Go to the National Scholarship Website and Click on “Login” button and select Renewal 2018-19 in drop down.

Step 2 : Student have to Login using Last year NSP application ID and last year password. After login will take you to Student’s Home Page

Step 3 : Click “Pre-Filled Information” button and Check your last year details. Next Click “Apply for Renewal’’ & enter required Renewal details.
Step 4 : Upload your documents therein (MCM / Top Class Students only).

Step 5 : Click on Final Submit. Take a print on Clicking print Button for further reference and as an Acknowledgement.

Documents Required

The list of documents to be scanned & uploaded for both Fresh and Renewal Scholarships as under
a) Student Photo. (Mandatory)
b) Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory)
c) Self declaration of Income Certificate by the student. (Mandatory)
d) Self declaration of community by the student. (Mandatory)

e) In case of Fresh – Self Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark sheet’ as filled in Form. (Mandatory)
f) In case of Renewal – Self-Attested Certificate of Previous Year Mark sheet as filled in the Form. (Mandatory)

g) Fee Receipt of current course year. (Mandatory)
h) Proof of Bank Account in the name of student. (Mandatory)
i) Aadhaar Card (optional)
j) Residential Certificate. (Mandatory)

Timeline

** Last Date to Submission of Online applications for Merit Cum Means Scholarship Fresh by students – 30th September,2018
** Last Date to Submission of Online applications for Merit Cum Means Scholarship scholarship Renewal by students – 30th September,2018

Terms & Conditions

** Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years will depend on successful completion of the course during the preceding year.
** The Income Certificate would remain valid for One Year.

** A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.
** Aadhaar Number is also required for payment of scholarship.

** The scholarship amount i.e. Course fee and Maintenance allowance would be credited/transferred directly into the bank account of selected students.

** The concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration will be responsible for processing and scrutinizing the applications submitted by the students (as per the work flow opted) and send the proposal of eligible students online to this Ministry for sanction of the scholarships as per timelines.

** A scholarship awarded may be cancelled if the scholar changes the subject of the course of study or changes the Institution of study, without prior approval of the State Government/UT Administration.
