AICTE PG GATE/GPAT Scholarship

On-line proposals are invited from AICTE approved Institutions for disbursement of Post Graduate Scholarship to the students admitted in AICTE approved programs of M.E/M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch.

Eligibility

Post Graduate Scholarship is entitled only to those students who are admitted in the AICTE approved Institutions/Course with a valid GATE/GPAT score at the time of admission.

How to Apply?

Just follow the below steps to apply for the AICTE PG GATE / GPAT Scholarship 2018-19.

Step 1 : Go to the official website of All India Council For Technical Education through the URL https://www.aicte-india.org/

Step 2 : Then Click Schemes tab in the menu bar and select Student Development Scheme.

Step 3 : After that select PG Scholarship under Students Development schemes

Step 4 : Click on Step-1 in website. PDF document will open. Search for your Institute Id. Save it for reference as will be required for next step.

Step 5 : Click on Step 2 PG Student Id. Following window will open. Enter All the Details and click on Get Student Id.

Step 6 : One click of button student id will be displayed. Note it for future reference. It will be required in Step 3 as well.

Note :
In case, Student ID is not displayed, the student shall contact the institute and make sure that the data entered by the institute on AICTE portal is correct. In case of variation, the institute will correct this data on AICTE portal

Step 7 : For Verification of Student Id enter all the details and Click on Validate button.

Note :
Only “ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY”,” ARCHITECTURE AND TOWN PLANNING” and “PHARMACY” students with the level “Post Graduate” are eligible. If student id of any other program or level is entered, the next screen will be blank.

Step 8 : On successful validation, Scholarship Application Form will be displayed.

Step 9 : Enter Data in the application form, accept the declarations and finally click on “Submit Application”.

Step 10 : After the Documents are verified by RIFD, Institute can start forwarding the monthly attendance of student.

Note:
** After the Documents are verified by RIFD, student details are forwarded to PFMS portal for generation of Beneficiary Code.
** Only after the beneficiary code is generated and attendance is forwarded by Institute, Scholarship can be disbursed.
** Scholarship will be disbursed only for the months for which attendance has been forwarded.

Last Date

Last date for online applications under AICTE PG (GATE/GPAT) Scholarship for A/Y 2018-19 has been extended 31th October 2018 for students and 15th November 2018 for Institutions

FAQs

1. I am having a joint account with my family member. Can I upload the PDF copy of the same.
No, Joint Account is not accepted. Only General/Normal account should be opened. Students should not open “ NO FRILL ACCOUNT”.

2. What is the procedure for Editing/Deleting the data wrongly entered by the Student/Institute?
In the cases where the wrong data has been forwarded/entered on the portal, Student/Institute may lodge their grievance through e-mail supported with scanned copies of the documents with AICTE for resolving the issue.

3. Whether uploading of the data of Aadhaar card mandatory?
Yes, as per Department of Higher scholarships have to be Aadhaar seeded and payment done through the Aadhaar Payment Gateway

4. What is the reason for long delay in receipt of PG Scholarship?
The attendance/data submitted by the student/institute has to be processed at various levels. It consumes considerable time to release the PG Scholarship subject to availability of funds

5. Whether students from sponsored categories are eligible for grant of PG Scholarship?
No, students from non-sponsored categories admitted with valid GATE/GPAT Score card are eligible for grant of PG Scholarship.
