Diploma In Banking & Finance DB&F Scholarship 2015:
The purpose of the Scholarship is primarily to help the students from economically weaker section with reasonably good academic background to pursue a career in banking and finance sector. The number of scholarships available for each examination will be notified on the Website of the Institute < www.iibf.org.in > and the Application form for the Scholarship can be downloaded from the website.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for applying for the Scholarship, the candidate should:
(i) be the first time applicant to the DB&F course (repeaters are not eligible);
(ii) be studying for the final year Degree course in any discipline;
(iii) have secured 60% or more marks in HSC/12th Std. Exam and 50% and above in the 1st and 2nd year degree course;
(iv) not have a family income exceeding Rs.200,000 per annum; and
(v) submit a Certificate and Recommendation from the Principal of the College in the format given in the application

Instructions:
The application for Scholarship should reach the Office of the IIBF on or before 15th January for the June Exam and 15th July for the December Exam.

The scholarship will be awarded to the eligible candidates only on their completing the examination. Award of Scholarship will be by way of reimbursement of the Examination Fee. Candidates should apply for the examination by paying the requisite amount of Fee.

Candidates found eligible and selected for the Scholarship will be advised of their selection for the award of the Scholarship on their completing the examination within the stipulated time limit.

The offer of the Scholarship will lapse in case the selected candidate does not pass the Examination within the stipulated time limit from the first attempt.

The other eligibility criteria and selection process will remain as at present.

Broad Selection Criteria would be as follows:
(a) Based on income criteria:
Candidates, whose family income is up to Rs.200,000 per annum be grouped into three categories as shown below and a merit list will be prepared under each category giving priority to the candidates with lowest income

(b) Based on qualification criteria:
Based on the total of the marks scored at the HSC/12th Standard, 1st year and 2nd year graduation level, a merit list will be prepared in the order of highest total.

(c) Final selection:
50% of the number of the Scholarships notified shall be given to the candidates from the merit list based on the income criteria under Category A and remaining 50% shall be given to the candidates based on the qualification criteria under Category A, but excluding those covered under the income criteria of the said category. If the required number is not available from category A, the same selection procedure will be followed for the candidates under category B and thereafter C.

Selection will be done by the Committee appointed by the Institute for the purpose whose decision in the matter shall be final.
