With an objective to help girl students to pursue their higher education, UGAM – Legrand Scholarship program 2019-20, powered by Legrand, encourages meritorious girl students to pursue a career in Engineering and Architecture.

Eligibility Criteria

** Girls from pan India can apply
** Passed class 12th from India
** Scored a minimum of 75% marks in class 10th & 12th

** Seeking to take admission or secured admission in B.Tech./BE (preferably in Electrical or Electronics stream) and B.Arch. from India for 2019-20 batch
** Preference would be given according to the merit and need of the candidate

How to Apply?

Follow the below steps to apply for the scholarship program.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Legrand provided above.

Step 2 : Then Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button in the top of the home page.

Step 3 : Register with your Facebook or Gmail ID.

Step 4 : Fill the 5-step application form and upload supporting documents.
Step 5 : Finally, ‘Submit’ the application form.

Documents Required

The applicants are required to attach the following documents –
** Photo ID card
** Age proof (Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Class 10 school leaving certificate)
** Aadhaar Card (if Aadhaar Card is not available, an equivalent document for proof of address)

** Class 10 mark sheet
** Class 12 mark sheet
** Family income certificate or Form 16 of parents/dependents/ 6 months bank statement

** Passport size photograph
** Proof of admission (Provisional) or Fee Receipt (students who are awaiting admission can submit university/college fee structure)

** Students can submit supporting documents for extra-curricular activities in other documents section. Upload multiple documents using a single ZIP file.

Selection Criteria

** Shortlisting of candidates based on their merit, need and family income
** Supporting documents for the above mentioned criteria to be submitted along with the document

** The shortlisted candidates will undergo a telephonic round of interview conducted by an experienced panel of interviewers.
** Final list of selected students will be published on the website and will receive the personalized scholarship award letter issued by Legrand

FAQs

1. What is the scholarship amount?
INR 60000 p.a. or 60% of tuition fee, whichever is less, would be awarded to 50 eligible students.

2. When will the telephonic interviews be conducted?
The final telephonic interview round will be conducted between 15th – 25th of August 2019.

3. When will the results be declared?
The announcement of final selected scholars will be made on the last week of August and the scholarship amount will be transferred before the end of September 2019 (subject to document submission).

4. Can an international student apply for this scholarship?
No, international students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

5. Can someone who has already got a scholarship apply for this scholarship?
No, the students who are in receipt of a scholarship are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
