Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (ABC), a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, is inviting applications for “Bharati Scheme for Masters Degree Overseas” (BS-MDO) for the year 2019-20, for the Brahmin students of Andhra Pradesh.

Under this scheme, specified amount shall be paid to the selected applicants through the prescribed process, as one time financial assistance.

Objective :
To encourage Brahmin students pursue Overseas Education.

Scope :
This scheme is applicable for students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts, who secured admission for any Masters’ Degree course overseas in reputed institutions for the year 2019-20 or students pursuing part of their course abroad (after completing the initial part in India) in collaboration with any foreign university, for the year 2019-20

Eligibility

** The student and his/her both parents should belong to Brahmin community and parents should reside in Andhra Pradesh.
** Annual income of Parents / Guardian should not be more than Rs. 6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs)
** Should have got admission in any Masters’ Degree course Overseas (atleast 12 months duration) in a reputed institution as determined by ABC, during the years 2019-20 (or)
** Should be pursuing final year of the course overseas, in collaboration with the Indian university / institute.
** Students who have already availed benefit earlier will not be eligible.
** Should not have availed himself/ herself any amount from any other Government scheme for the same purpose.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates shall fill their application online (andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in) in the prescribed format.

Documents Required

Applicant should upload the scanned copies (in pdf of maximum 250 kb size each) of the following documents:

** Aadhar Cards of the student and parents / guardian in one PDF
** Caste and Income certificates issued by competent authority in one PDF
** SSC and Qualifying Degree certificates in one PDF
** SB Account Passbook in Andhra Bank or State Bank group (account must be in the name of applicant)
** Passport size photograph (in jpeg format of maximum 50 kb)
** Proof of admission and fees paid into any Masters Degree Course Overseas in any reputed institution OR Proof of collaboration letter between the two universities / institutes.
** Copy of Passport, VISA, Air Ticket and Form –i20 in one PDF

Selection process

Scrutinising, short-listing, personal interviewing (wherever required) and finalisation of applicants shall be done by the State Level Selection Committee (SLSC), giving priority to the following categories in descending order:

** Orphan
** Single mother
** Physically challenged
** Girl student
** Economically very poor

The amount of Financial Assistance as detailed below shall be transferred online to the selected applicants’ SB Accounts.
