Online Applications are invited from the students belonging to the Minority communities pursuing education in IX and XStandard in Government/ Government Aided/Recognized Private schools/ Institutions from across Karnataka State for Pre- Matric Scholarship.

Note: All candidates should apply as Fresh only

Eligibility Conditions for Pre-Matric Scholarship 2015-16:
1. The student should have scored more than 50% marks in the previous year examination
2. Annual income of the students’ Parents/ Guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs.1 lakh.
3. Students other than the 6 Minority communities mentioned above are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
4. Other state students are also not eligible to apply in Karnataka, they can apply in their respective state only. Students of Karnataka domicile studying in other states are eligible to apply in Karnataka.

Procedure for Online Application IX and X Scholarship 2015-16:
Read the following instructions carefully before filling on-line application

List of Scanned copies of Documents to be kept ready before filling online application form:
1. Student’s photo*
2. Student’s Signature* (on a piece of paper)
3. Aadhar card.
4. Previous year marks card*
5. Declaration form by the Student*
6. Self-Declaration for religion* Formats Available on
7. Bonafide certificate/Institute Verification form* Directorate’s website
8. Present year’s fee receipts (Showing tution fee/course fee, admission fee)*
9. Parental income certificate*
Income and Caste Certificate issued by Tahsildar.
Or
Income certificate issued by Tahsildar a long with ‘self-declaration religion certificate’ in a format uploaded on website.
Or
Xerox copy of BPL card along with ‘self-declaration for religion’ format uploaded on website.
Or
Antodaya Card along with‘self-declaration for religion’ format uploaded on website.

Notarised Income Affidavit Is Not Accepted For Scholarship.

10. Student bank account pass book Xerox copy of first page indicating Name, Account number, IFSC code with Branch Name, or cancelled cheque leaf*

How to Apply through Online:

Note:-Supported file types are:-PDF,JEP,JEPG,POG. Maximum file size is 100KB

Step 1:- Student have to apply only through online.
Step 2:- Website https://scholarships.gov.in/ no other mode of application is accepted
Step 3:- Click on “STUDENT LOGIN” Button.
Step 4:- Click on “REGISTER” Button.
Step 5:- A new Page requesting to enter the personal data will be displayed. Fill all the coloumns.
Step 6:- After entering all required details and then Click on the “SUBMIT” Button.
Step 7:- Temporary ID No. of Applicant will be displayed. (TEMPORARY ID will be sent on registered mobile number and registered e-mail id. Note down the TEMPORARY ID for further reference)
Step 8:- Click on PROCEED button will take you to the new Web Page. Student have to Re-Login using TEMPORARY-ID and Date of Birth.
Step 9:- After login students have to enter “PERSONAL DETAILS”. After entering “PERSONAL DETAILS” click on Button “SAVE & CONTINUE”.
Step 10:- Applicant will be directed to the next tab Named as “ACADEMIC DETAILS” After entering “ACADEMIC DETAILS” click on Button “SAVE & CONTINUE” to switch on to next Page.
Step 11:- Applicant is redirected to “SCHEME DETAILS” Based on eligibility criteria of the students, schemes will be displayed. Students can apply to multiple schemes. In the same page, student to upload the scanned copies of required documents After selecting scheme and uploading required documents click on Button “SAVE & CONTINUE” to switch on to next Page.
Step 12:- Applicant is redirected to “BANK DETAILS” Enter your bank details corresponding to the Titles. Account No. must be filled very carefully and re-checked as there will be no provision to amend or alter it thereafter. Wrong Account No. wrong IFSC code or wrong name spelling will lead to non-receipt of scholarship amount to the students. Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to switch on to next page.
Step 13:- Under the Tab Contact Details. Enter your current residing and Permanent full Address with pin code number.
Step 14:- Tick Mark [ü] Check Box to give the declaration (Re-check all your entries & uploaded documents before confirm & submit as there will be no provision to amend or alter it thereafter.)
Step 15: Click CONFIRM & SUBMIT to end up the process. If your application is successfully submitted student will get a Permanent Registration No. Retain your Permanent Registration Number for future process.
