Eligibility

Students of 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th standards of recognised institute can appear for this scholarship examination

Medium of Examination : Examination conducted in English as well as in Marathi.

Nature of Examination

Mathematics

The question paper will be of 100 marks to be solved in 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes). All 50 questions will be of objective type carrying 2 marks each.

Each of these 50 questions will be supplied with 4 alternative answers. Answers are to be marked by darkening circles on the OMR sheet provided along with question paper.

Science

The question paper will be of 100 marks to be solved in 1 hour (60 minutes). It will contain objective type 100 questions carrying 1 mark each. Each of these 100 questions will be supplied with 4 alternate answers.

Payment for books and study material can be made by online net banking/ depositing in our bank in your city or by Demand draft drawn in favour of WISDOM BOOKS, payable at Pune.

Application Fees

Application fees for general students for the year 2019-20 is Rs.300 and for private students is Rs.350.

Students Appearing Through School/Institute

When a form is sent to us by the institute authorities , then the student will be treated as a student appearing through institute.

Within Maharashtra :
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 300( Rs. Three hundred only) will be charged for the scholarship examination, per student of each standard.

Other States :
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 350( Rs. Three hundred fifty only) will be charged for the scholarship examination, per student of each standard.

For Private Students

When a form is sent to us by parents or guardian , then the student will be treated as a private student. Application form not received through an institute will be treated as private student.

For Maharashtra :
A non refundable fee of Rs. 350 ( Rs. Three hundred fifty only) will be charged for the scholarship examination, per student of each standard .

Other States :
A non refundable fee of Rs. 400 ( Rs. Four hundred fifty only) will be charged for the scholarship examination, per student of each standard

Late Fees :
Application forms filled after 30th November 2019 will carry a late fee of Rs. 75 ( Rs. Seventy Five only ) till 30th December, 2019. Forms received after 30th December, 2019 will not be eligible for examinations.

** Maths examination will be conducted on 9th February, 2020.
** Science examination will be conducted on 2nd February, 2020.

** Duly filled application forms attached herewith are to be submitted along with the above mentioned fees before 30th November 2019.

Hall Ticket :
Hall Ticket containing seat number and examination centre is to be downloaded from our website after 25th January, 2020. No paper copy of the same will be sent to the students.

Syllabus :
The syllabus will be of advanced level than the regular textbooks of respective standards. Books containing definitions and explanations of Maths & scientific concepts will be made available for each standard at schools participating in the scholarship examination.

Scholarships, Medals & Prizes

Scholarships will be awarded to first 100 meritorious students of each standard. The scholarship amounts will be
1st Rs. 2000 6th Rs. 700 11th to 25th Rs.200 each
2nd Rs. 1500 7th Rs. 600 26th to 50th Rs.150 each
3rd Rs. 1200 8th Rs. 500 51st to 75th Rs.125 each
4th Rs. 1000 9th Rs. 400 76th to 100th Rs.100 each
5th Rs. 800 10th Rs. 300

Result :
Result date and Result of the scholarship examination will be declared on website. Passing certificate and merit certificate will be sent by 15th August, 2020.

FAQs

1. Is it necessary to appear through school?
No. You can appear privately. Please download the application form. Fill it and send it along with the D.D. of applicable registration fees. You can also order the text books, question paper sets and model answer sets by sending us a letter with requirement details and a DD of the requisite amount.

2. Can we use spare paper for rough work in the exam hall?
No. Spare paper is not allowed though you can use the empty space on the question paper and the space provided on the answer paper for rough work.

3. Are there any other books that can be used for extra practice?
It is not necessary to use any other books apart from WEF set of books. The WEF question appear set contains 15 question papers having 40-42 problems each. So, more than 600 problems can be solved using the set. That should provide enough practice for any student.
