Nalanda University Scholarships
Nalanda Merit and Means cum Merit Scholarship 2018-19 invites application from graduate students who have taken admission in Nalanda University.

The objective of this program is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students for further studies.
Eligibility Criteria
A minimum of three years Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA)
Scholarships Types
Nalanda University provides two types of financial support to the students.
a. Merit Scholarship
b. Means-cum-Merit Scholarship
Merit Scholarship
1. The Merit scholarship consists of tuition fee waiver for the applicable semesters.
2. Number of Merit scholarships will be restricted to the toppers. Toppers securing 7.5 grade point and above will be eligible for the Merit scholarship. Only one topper per School will get the Merit scholarship.
3. Scholarship will begin from the second semester .
4. Students securing highest grade point (SGPA) in a semester will be awarded scholarship in the subsequent semester.
Means-cum-Merit Scholarship
1. Scholarship for Economically Challenged students consists of tuition fee waiver
2. Recipients for this scholarship will be selected from those providing documented evidence of low household income.
3. Those with annual income less than INR 3 lakh/equivalent in US Dollars are eligible to apply for financial support.
4. Documents Required:
All students seeking financial assistance in any form must appeal for the same, through the submission of the following documents:
a. Parent’s income proof: Income Tax return for the current year (for Indian students). A standard equivalent document/salary statement (for Foreign Students).
b. Aadhar Card
c. Statement justifying the need for financial support
5. Scholarship will cover all four semesters of the program subject to maintaining a grade point average of 6.5 and above.
6. Every semester a reminder will be sent to the scholarship holders that it will be continued unless they maintain the requisite grades.
7. There are limited scholarships available, so mere application does not guarantee the scholarship.

Application Procedure
The candidate can register online for filling the online Application Form. After duly filling the Application Form, Application fees need to be paid through the gateway provided in the form.
Application Process:
The application is a 2 step process.
a) Registration and profile creation.
b) Completion of application form with login credential which have been sent to your registered email-id.
Steps :
Just follow the simple steps to apply online.
Step 1: Go to the website of Nalanda University Admission page through below URL.

Step-2 : Then go to the ‘New Registration’ link at the top of the page.
Step-3 : To create an account, enter your personal details and submit.
Step 5: Then login with your User ID and Password which have been sent to your registered email-id.
Step-6 : Fill the application form and Pay the application fee and Proceed further.
General Information
1. A maximum of 10% of the total number of students admitted across all programs will be considered for financial support.
2. Financial support will only cover the tuition fee .
3. No application will be accepted from any student after the admission process is over, or in the second year of the academic program.
4. Mere application does not guarantee financial support.
5. A student is provided only one scholarship at a time.
6. If any of the information provided is found to be false, the scholarship will be stopped and proceedings will initiate to recover the scholarship amount.
7. Nalanda University reserves the right to provide scholarships to students it considers fit for receiving financial support.
8. All the scholarships are subject to good conduct and discipline as per the rules of University. Any violation of the rules, misconduct, indiscipline, harassment will result in cession of scholarships.
9. Any attempt to bring discredit/disrepute to the institution either through media or any social media will result in immediate cession of scholarships.
