The main object of the scheme is to provide relief to the families of unorganized workers in case of death or disability of the unorganised worker leaving the families in great distress.
Scheme Features
** All unorganised workers will be registered under the Unorganised Workers Social Security Act, 2008 and enrolled as beneficiaries under Chandranna Bima Scheme.
** SERP shall facilitate registration of unorganised workers and their enrollment in the Chandranna Bima Scheme, data entry, maintenance of data base, hard copies of signed applications and other connected matters.
** Assistant Labour Officer of the Labour Department shall be the Registering Authority.
** The registered unorganised workers will be enrolled as members under State Accident Death and Disability Scheme and under Aam Admi Bima Yojana (AABY) and will also be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
** The benefits under the Chandranna Bima Scheme are as follows:
Eligibility
** All unorganized workers in the State in the age group of 18 to 70 years, drawing monthly wage of Rs.15,000/- per month or less enrolled through Praja Sadhikaara Survey are eligible under Chandranna Bima Scheme.
** Beneficiary children studying 9th, 10th, Intermediate or ITI are eligible for Scholarship.
Scheme Benefits
Rs. 5 lakh for Accident Death and Total Disability:
Rs. 2,25,000/- (Rupees two lakh twenty five thousand) from State Accident Death and Disability Scheme, Rs.75,000/- (Rupees seventy five thousand) under Aam Admi Bima Yojana (AABY) and Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakh) from Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
Up to Rs.3,62,500/- for Partial Disability:
Up to Rs.2,25,000/- (Rupees two lakh twenty five thousand) from State Accident Death and Disability Scheme, Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) from PMSBY and Rs.37,500 from AABY.
Aam Admi Bima Yojana :
** Rs.30,000/- for Natural Death under Aam Admi Bima Yojana (AABY).
Scholarship Amount:
Rs.1200/- p.a. towards scholarship per child up to two children of the beneficiary studying 9th, 10th, Intermediate or ITI.

How To Apply?
Scheme Registration
The unorganised worker shall make an application in the format annexed, pay Rs.15/- or such other amount as specified by the Commissioner of Labour and furnish an undertaking stating that he or she is an unorganised worker.

Scholarship Registration
Follow the steps mentioned below for new scholarships registration.
Steps:
Step-1 : Go to the official website of Chandranna Bima scheme through URL
Scheme Website :
http://www.bima.ap.gov.in/
Step-2 : Then go to the ‘Login’ link available at the Home Page.
Step-3 : Click on the radio button ‘Scholarship’.
Step-4 : New users have to click on the ‘NewUser?’ link.
Step-5 : Then fill the online form with student’s personal details like Name, Aadhar Number, Gender, Mobile Number, District, Village and Mandal etc.
Step-6 : After filling the online form, Click on the ‘Get OTP’ button.
Login:
Registered users can login by entering their Mobile Number in the Login section and Click on the ‘Get OTP’ button to login. User will receive the OTP in the mobile number which is provided by him/her. Use the OTP to login to access your account.
Search Scholarship
Just follow the simple steps to search the scholarship online.
Steps:
Step-1: Go to the ‘Search Scholarship’ link under ‘Search’ menu on the Home Page of AP Chandranna Bima scheme.
Step-2 : In that page, you have two options to search the scholarship. Options are Child Name and Policy Holder Name. Select your option.
Step-3 : Then Select the District and Mandal from the dropdown list and submit the search button.
