Pre-Matric Scholarship 2015-16:
The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi has fixed target for Pre-Matric Scholarships of U.T. of Daman & Diu for the year 2015-2016 (fresh cases only).
Under the Scheme, Scholarship are awarded to students for studies in India in a Government or Private School from Class I to X from the notified minority communities who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents / guardian from all sources do not exceed Rs.1 lakh
There is no target for Renewal cases.
Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities notified by the Central Government, pursuing education from Class I to Class X, in Government School/Institute or Private School/Institute recognized by appropriate authority, for Pre-Matric scholarship.
Application Procedure:
The application in the prescribed format may be obtained and submitted after completing the same to the Assistant Director of Education ( District Panchayat) upto class 8th through respective Head Master/Principal, and from class 9th to 10th to Deputy Director of Education, Nani Daman through respective Head Master/Principal.
The students of classes IX to X will apply for the Pre-matric Scholarship online in the dedicated scholarship portal under URL: www.scholarship.gov.in. No offline application will be accepted for students Classes IX and X.
Please ensure that Bank Account and Aadhar Number of the Student is correctly entered , failing which the application form is likely to be rejected.

The Timeline for Class Ito VIII (Offline) and for Class IX and X (Online). The last date for receipt of applications for Offline and Online is 20th August, 2015.
