Individual Grants :

Tata Trusts has been funding major philanthropic ventures since their founding. However it never lost sight of ‘individuals’, and their needs and aspirations.

The Individual Grants Programme of the Trusts follows a comprehensive, systematic, and most importantly, fair and humane approach to identify individuals in need and deserving of financial assistance to disburse grants in the areas of medical treatment, education, travel and sports.

The Individual Grants Programme For Medical :
** Provides travel grants for training and workshops-related travel overseas.
** Meets the cost of medical treatment, often towards critical cases.

Medical Grants :
** A medical emergency is a cause for tremendous emotional and financial stress for most families, which is exacerbated by escalating hospitalisation bills and medicine costs. Medical and health insurance do not cover the entire cost of treatment, especially in the case of cancer, heart ailments, cochlear implants, kidney disorders and other such life-threatening illnesses.
** The Tata Trusts provide financial assistance to meet the cost of medical treatment both directly, as well as through a network of various hospitals. Additionally, criteria-based assistance is provided to socially and economically underprivileged patients, by linking with select hospitals through a revolving fund arrangement.
** To apply for Individual Medical grants, please download and fill the form. The forms are to be submitted during office hours (9.30 am to 5.30 pm) Monday to Friday.
** Please note that forms should be submitted in person by the patient or an immediate family member of the patient only, and not through email or post.

Instructions :
1. Medical grant is open only to Indian citizens residing in India.
2. Applications for the Medical grant should be submitted either by the patient or by the patient’s immediate family member (father/mother/husband/wife /son/daughter/sister/brother).
3. The applicant for the Medical grant should be above 18 years of age.
4. Please note that, application / medical form received after the patient is discharged from the hospital will not be accepted by the Trusts.
5. Incomplete forms will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
6. Submitting an application form to the Trusts’ Office does not guarantee a Medical Grant from the Trusts. The Trusts’ decision to award medical grants, or otherwise, will be informed to the applicant. No explanation whatsoever would be given if the application is rejected.
7. Original bills / receipts from hospital should be submitted upon request. Duplicate bills / receipts / certificates from the hospital will not be accepted.
8. For cases that are declined, original bills will be returned; however, other documents will be retained by the Trusts.

9. The Trusts do not have any intermediaries / agents. Applicants are advised to beware of such individuals that claim to represent the Trusts and demand a share from the grant, if sanctioned. In case any such demands are made, applicants are requested to kindly bring the matter to the notice of the Secretary & Chief Accountant, immediately.

10. Apart from the above instructions, it is hereby informed that the decision of the Trustees would be final and binding on all matters and on all persons pertaining to the application.

11. Applicants can submit the medical application form in person at the Trusts’ office at Mulla House (between 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM on weekdays), or send it by Post or email to igpmed@tatatrusts.org.

Missing supporting documents, if any, should be submitted within 2 weeks from receiving the request for submission of the same (the Trusts may request for supporting documents through phone call / SMS / post). If the missing documents are not submitted within 2 weeks, the application will be closed and no further correspondence on the matter shall be entertained.

12. Application forms with incomplete / manipulated / false information, with an intention to mislead the Trusts, shall be treated as void and legal action will be taken as deemed necessary.
