Scholarship :

Children in school – preferably at the primary level – who are below the poverty line are eligible for scholarships from the Education For All Trust.

When children apply to the Trust for support, they need to provide the following documents:
** Two passport size photographs
** The previous year’s mark sheets/admission forms duly attested
** Statement of family income and number of earning members of the family.
** Budget detailing expenses and amount of support required
** Recommendation from educational institution where the child is studying or from a renowned person.
** Mode of payment ( No cash is given to any applicant )

A committee meets every three months to choose scholars from the hundred of applications that are received. The number of scholarships awarded depends on flow of funds. All scholarships are of a one year duration.

For students in Rajasthan :
Please dispatch the following documents :
** Last years mark sheets & Fee book / Admission Forms etc.
** Self Addressed envelope with postal stamp.
** Family’s monthly income and earning members in the family.
** Expected amount from us and details of expenses.
** At present if any other financial help or scholarship received & present source of Study.
** Name in which cheque to be issued.
** Two passport size photographs .
** Recommendation of your institute head or any other socially renowned person.

Note:
** Photocopies of all the documents are to be sent along with this form. Documents are non refundable
** All papers/ Information should reach us within 45 days from the date of issue of this form.
** We do not issue D/D, self-cheque or money order.
** Rejected applications will not be intimated
** The process will take maximum 90-120 days.
** This letter does not guarantee scholarship.

Education For All – Bengal:
The program has been in progress in Bengal since its inception, providing scholarships to thousands of students, distributing books and other materials. The co-ordinating agency is the International Marwari Federation Youth Wing. In Bengal, children from classes I to X are eligible for scholarships. The Trust has supported college fees as well in the past, though now it has focused its efforts on school-going children.

In its early days, the Trust also provided support to schools with funds to enhance their teaching staff strength. Over time however, these will be phased to out to concentrate on the sponsorship scheme, which has been found to produce much greater results.

Education For All – Rajasthan:
In Rajasthan the project covers students at the primary and secondary levels (from classes I to VIII). A separate fund, with an initial allocation of Rs. 15 lakh from Shree Cement Ltd has been created for children in Rajasthan. It was launched by the then Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, Smt. Pratibha Patil on July 23, 2006 at Governor House in Jaipur.

It was also attended by eminent educationalist Kapila Vatsyayan, Director of the United Nations Information Centre (India and Bhutan) Shalini Deewan, Shree cements MD H.M. Bangur and writer Taslima Nasreen.

This chapter, a collaboration between Shree Cement Ltd and Prabha Khaitan Foundation has been in operation since October 1, 2006. The coordinating organization for Rajasthan is Rajasthan National Forum.
