Important Instructions :
All the students receiving scholarships from the Social Welfare Department should contact their bank immediately to link their Aadhar number with bank account number
Please update the School Running Status in TSWO by selecting menu – Administration -> School Running Status. Contacting the concerned Taluk Social Welfare Officer if their school details are not available online.
Note :
1) The student applying for a scholarship should have a mandatory bank account in his name.
2) Only students who are studying in the 1st year of this year can apply online.
3) Students studying in the 2nd grade from the 8th class who have not submitted an online application in the past year can download and fill the manual application with the necessary documents for school headmasters. ( Click here to download the application )
4) Students who are studying in Class VIII, who have applied online in last years, have to provide 14 digit registration numbers provided by the Social Welfare Department to their school headmasters.
Format of Consent for Authentication :
I, the holder of Aadhaar number_____________, hereby give my consent to Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka to obtain my Aadhaar number, Name and Fingerprint/Iris for authentication with UIDAI. The Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka has informed me that my identity information would only be used for the seeding within the department and for DBT purposes and also informed that my biometrics will not be stored / shared and will be submitted to CIDR only for the purpose of authentication.

About Tribal Welfare Department :
The Constitution of India provides certain special Constitutional safeguards for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other weaker sections of the population, so that they could take their rightful place in community.
As citizens of the Republic of India, they are fully entitled to certain rights and privileges, which were denied to them in the past on the ground of Caste system and the practice of Untouchability.
To implement various schemes and programmes, both Central and State Government provide funds. Though some of the schemes are funded either wholly or partly by the Central Government through the Special Central Assistance, Centrally sponsored Schemes under Special Component Plan and Tribal Sub Plan, majority of the schemes are funded and implemented by State Government alone.
The schemes are implemented broadly at three different levels, one at State level (Social Welfare Commissionerate), other at District level (Zilla Panchayat) and few at the Taluk Panchayat level. These schemes cover the main priority sectors; Education, Employment, Housing, Irrigation, etc.
