Dhanwantari Educational Assistance Scheme

DFI acting as Facilitator between Dhanwantarians and the students, collected an amount of Rs 8,50,000/- as donation from members, added an amount Rs 21,50,000/- from trust funds contributed a sum of Rs 30,00,000/- as Scholarship to 395 students recommended by Educational Community during the financial Year 2014-15.

We have so far distributed a sum Rs.1,18,33,399/- towards scholarship amount to 1439 students. In 2015, we have distributed about Rs.26 lakhs to 386 students.

Separate Application Forms with serial number are available for Boys (Blue) and for Girls (Pink) Colors. Applications with printed serial numbers only will be accepted.

Selection Procedure

The applications will be scrutinized by an eminent Educational Committee consisting of experts in various fields and give recommendations for sanction of educational assistance. In addition to students with merit and who are in poor economic conditions, preference will be given to students who lost their parents.

Students obtaining educational assistance would be required to give an undertaking to the effect that they would repay the amount as and when they get employment, so that this amount could be utilized to help some other deserving students.

The details of the donations received from members and the amounts distributed as scholarship are being published in our monthly in-house magazine ‘Dhanwantari Vani’ thus maintaining 100% transparency regarding utilization of funds.

Dhanwantari Vani is available at an annual subscription of Rs.200/- and Life subscription of Rs.2,500/- only.

Special Note :
As AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation (ABC) Ltd., is introducing ‘Bharati Scheme for Education’ applicable for all Brahmin Students of AP, who are studying from 1st Std to PG level Academic Year 2016-17; They are advised to visit http://www.andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in/ and fully utilize the given opportunity by the A.P. Government.

Hence, it has been decided for now, not to entertain any Applications for Educational Assistance from the Brahmin Students of Andhra Pradesh through Dhanwantari Foundation International for this Academic Year.

All Dhanwantarians are requested to donate liberally to this Noble Cause. Cheques/DDs/Pay Orders towards donations drawn in favour of “Dhanwantari Foundation International Brahmana Jagruti” can be sent to the Admin Office at H.No.2-2-1108/6/ 8, Tilak Nagar X Roads, Amberpet – Hyderabad – 500044 or handed over at the nearest DFI branch against receipt.
