DGE TN NTSE Examination
The State Level National Talent Search Examination for the Academic Year 2017-18 will be held during 1st week of November 2017 for all the students currently studying in Std. X in any recognized school located in the State.

Scholarship Amount :
(a) Scholarship of Rs.1,250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.
(b) Scholarship of Rs.2,000/- per month for Undergraduates and Postgraduates.
(c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.
Reservation :
The State reservation policy will be adopted including 3% of physically challenged group of students.
Eligibility :
Students studying in Class X during 2016-17 in any recognized school are eligible to appear for the examination. The NMMS awardees also are allowed to appear for NTS Examination.
Quota :
As per the last year quota allotted for the State by the NCERT, 220 candidates will be selected in the State Level NTS Examination. Quota allotted to the state is subject to change.
Fees :
Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) in cash per candidate
How To Apply?
1. Candidates are required to apply for State Level NTS Examination through their school only. The Headmaster / Head of Institution can download sufficient number of blank application forms from 18.08.2016 to 31.08.2016 through the website tngdc.gov.in.
2. The Headmaster / Head of Institutions should distribute blank application forms to all the X Std., students who are studying in the current academic year.
3. With the help of parent / teachers the students should fill up the application forms and return the filled in application forms to the Headmaster / Head of Institution concerned, along with Photo and cash of Rs.50/- (Fifty only).
Submission Of Application Forms
After completion of ONLINE submission of particulars in the applications, the Headmaster / The Head of Institution should submit the Summary Report along with the TOTAL FEES IN CASH collected from the students to the respective DISTRICT EDUCATIONAL OFFICERS. The last Date will be intimated later.
Submission of application after the last Date will be summarily rejected.
Important Dates :
1. The Head of Institutions should collect the filled application forms from the students till 01st, Sep 2017
2. Uploading the candidate’s details in the application form through online by the Head of Institution Sep 04th to 13th 2017
How to Check the Result?
The result of NTSE Tamil Nadu will be declared on the official website. Follow the below steps to view your Result,
Step 1 : Go to the Directorate of Government Examinations website through the URL dge.tn.gov.in
Step 2 : Click the ‘NTSE Examination – Nov-2017 – Out of Range Results’ under the Other Exams Category
Step 3 : The result will be available in PDF file.
Step 4 : You can download the PDF file and check your result or you can also get it below.

Only “Not Selected” list is displayed in Result Section. How do I confirm that I have been selected? Please let us know.
Though the stage II exam is slated on May 13, we are yet to see/receive the list of selected candidates. I request that this be intimated at the earliest. Can anyone clarify if the selected list of TN candidates of stage I 2017-18 is available anywhere?
