Merit Scholarship Program 2016 – 2017:
Application Last Date: Monday, 24th August 2015

1. Québec-India Doctoral Research and Postdoctoral Fellowship Scholarships:
Maximum of ONE doctoral scholarship and a maximum of two postdoctoral fellowships per year. Doctoral scholarship (DF) (Cdn $ 25,000 per year for 3 years, totaling Cdn $ 75,000) for those who wish to pursue a doctoral level program of study in any Canadian University. Postdoctoral fellowship (PDF) (Cdn $ 17,500 each for upto 6 months) only for researchers who have obtained their doctorate degree in the previous two years. PDF applications for short durations are also welcome. For details refer to the website of Fonds Québecois de la reserche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT) https://frq.gouv.qc.ca/.

2. Eligible Students and Researchers:
i. This scholarship is open to only Indian students who have obtained relevant degree from TERI University or researchers from all research areas of TERI/ TERI University.
ii. It is mandatory for applicants to have applied for, or is already admitted to a Québec University level institution at the time of pre-selection.
iii. They must not have received a scholarship under this program earlier.

Note:
TERI University is only responsible for pre-selection of candidates (1DF, 2 PDF) (Pre-selection Announcement Date – 20th September 2015)

Submission of application and supporting documents will be directly to FQRNT following nomination by TERI University. Refer FQRNT website for details and instructions. Last Date – submitting e-form application and required documents for preselected candidates: November 1st, 2015 at Midnight (coordinated universal time UTC-5 Est time zone).

Final Decision is that of FQRNT (Announcement of results for all Programs : End of March 2016).
