Prime Minister’s SSS Special Scholarship :
Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates from Jammu &Kashmir for admission in Under Graduate Degree level program in “General” and “Engineering” stream in the Institutes approved by UGC under section 12 B of UGC Act or by AICTE and located outside the state of J&K under Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K for the academic year 2015-16.

Application Procedure :
1. “Online applications” can be submitted by the candidates on their own or at any of the “Facilitation Centres” set up by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. “Document Verification” will be done subsequently at all the Facilitation centres. List of such centres is available at https://aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/.
2. Online application and document verification starts from 13th June, 2015 ,10.00am and will close on 28th June, 2015 at 17.00 Hrs. To adhere with the academic calendar for 2015-16, last date for online application and document verification will not be extended.
3. It is mandatory for every student desirous of seeking the benefit of PM’s Special Scholarship Scheme to complete “Online Application and Document Verification” to become eligible for SSS for the academic year 2015-16.
4. A merit list of all the eligible candidates will be prepared after the “Online Application and Document Verification”. Allotment of seats to eligible candidates for TWO supernumerary seats under Engineering and General stream will be through “Online Interactive Counselling” to be conducted simultaneously at Jammu and Srinagar based on merit and reservation as applicable. There will be no Counselling for Medical Stream. The schedule of counselling will be notified later.

Step- 1 : New Candidate to Create Log In
Candidate to Create Log In:
** Candidate to have valid email ID and Mobile number for applying online.
** Click on Register button
** Remember the password filled here for creating Log In.
** Submit Registration form by pressing the “Register” button.
** The confirmation link of the registration will be sent to your e-Mail address entered.
** Registration will be confirmed only after clicking on the link received through your e-mail address.
** AGAIN login with registered e-mail address and password to fill the online application.

Step- 2: Essential documents to be made ready
Before starting to fill up the on-line application, keep the following Details / Information ready:
** Personal details
** Educational qualification details ( Xth and XIIth Standard Mark Sheet)
** Caste Certificate (for SC / ST/ OBC candidate)
** Disability Certificate for Persons with Disabilities
** Domicile Certificate issued by competent authority
** Annual Income Certificate issued by competent authority showing the total family income for the financial year 2014-15
** Aadhar Card (if any)
** Good quality Image of scanned photograph in jpg / jpeg /png format and size must be greater than 10 KB and should not exceed 200 KB
** Good Quality Image of scanned signature in jpg / jpeg / png format and size must be greater than 10 KB and should not exceed 50 KB
Step- 3: Log in candidate to complete the process of filling online application form
Action 1: Fill Application (Click on the “Proceed to Apply” to fill application form)
** Fill the details on the online application form. Since your eligibility will be screened based on the information furnished in the application, you are required to exercise sufficient care to correctly furnish the details of your Qualification, etc.
** While filling the application form online, please save the information by clicking the button “SAVE”.
** In case you wish to edit any information (only before submission of online application) you can do so by logging again using Registered Email-ID and Password. After editing the information, make sure to save the information by clicking the button “SAVE”.
Action 2 : Upload Photo & Signature image
** Upload Photograph – Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture. Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured,
** preferably white background, and has no harsh shadows. If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen. Also,
** ensure that both ears are visible in the picture. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
** The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg or .png format. Size of file must be greater than 10 KB and should not exceed 200 KB
** Upload Scanned Signature image – Sign on white paper with Black ink pen and scan it. Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page and
** ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50 kb. Please note that this signature would be saved with your information, and if it does not match
** the signature on the answer sheet at the time of the written test and at the time of Interview, the candidature may be cancelled.
** The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg or .png format. Size of file must be greater than 10 KB and should not exceed 50 kb.
Action 3 : Submit Application Form
** Submit Application form by pressing “Submit” button after verifying/ensuring all the Information filled in the application form.
** Application cannot be edited once it is submitted by the candidate.
Step- 4 : Print Application Form for Future Reference
Candidate has to take the print out of the Application Form containing the auto generated application number and keep it along with documents duly photocopied with him/her for record and the same to be produced at the time of Document Verification at facilitation centre.
Step-5: Reach to Nearest Facilitation Centre
Reach nearest facilitation centre with printed application form and all required original documents along with one set of photocopies of the documents for the verification of the documents.

1. I am an Eligible Candidate for J&K SSS Scholarship. How Can I Apply for this Scholarship?
Ans: Log on to https://aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/ (or) https://www.aicte-india.org/ to apply for “Online Registration and Document Verification” and follow the instructions on How to fill the online application.
2. Is AADHAR Card a Mandatory Document for J&K SSS Scholarship?
Ans: AADHAR CARD is NOT MANDATORY for Submitting Online Application under J&K SSS. However, for disbursement of Scholarship through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), the Aadhaar details will be required.
3. Is J&K Domicile Required For J&K SSS Scholarship?
Ans: YES. Original Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority of J&K state government needs to be produced during Document Verification.
4. Who Is Eligible for J&K SSS Scholarship?

Ans: YES. Only Scanned Copy of Photo & Signature needs to be uploaded.
7. What format or size of Photo and Signature to upload in website for J&K SSS Scholarship?:
Ans: Both Photo & Signature Should be In JPG/JPEG format with Size <200kb for Photo & <50 Kb for Signature.
8. I have filled & submitted my Online Application form. What Should I Do Next?:
Ans: Take Printout of Online Filled Application and visit your nearest Facilitation Centre along with Original Documents & One Set of Self Attested Photocopies (Xerox) of all Original Documents for Document Verification.
9. I have submitted my Online Application for J&K SSS Scholarship. Is It Possible to edit my application?:
Ans: YES. Nodal Officer of Facilitation Centre can only edit subject to the production of Original Documents in support of your claim/request for editing.

15. I am XIIth Passed J&K Student in Science Stream. Am I Eligible for Medical Stream Under this J&K SSS Scholarship?:
Ans: There is No counselling for Medical Stream. However, the candidate who seeks admission in any of the courses in Medical Stream (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.) on his/her own merit within the sanctioned intake in any of the institutions recognized by the respective Regulatory bodies & located outside the State of J&K is eligible to avail the benefit of scholarship under this scheme based on the merit at class XIIth and number of seats available under the scheme, provided the candidate has submitted his/her online application under General Stream for admissions under J & K SSS 2015-16 and the documents are verified by any of the facilitation centres.
16. Is It Compulsory for me to apply Online to become eligible for Claiming Scholarship under J&K SSS?:
Ans: YES. You are required to apply Online and get your original documents verified at Facilitation Centres to be considered for the J & K SSS Scholarship for 2015-16.
17. I wish to pursue my studies in IIT/NIT/Centrally funded Institutions/AICTE approved Institutions with NBA accredited programs/Courses on my own without participating in J&K SSS counselling Process 2015-16. Am I eligible for J&K SSS scholarship?
Ans: YES. Any candidate who seeks admission in any of the IIT/NIT/Centrally funded/AICTE approved institutions with NBA Accredited programs/Courses / UGC 12(b) recognized institutions (within the sanctioned intake) located outside the State of J&K on his/her own merit is eligible to avail the benefit of Scholarship under this scheme based on the merit at class XII and number of seats available under the scheme , provided the candidate has submitted his/her online application under General / Engineering Stream for admissions under J & K SSS 2015-16 and the documents are verified by any of the facilitation centres.

20. Is It Necessary for me to submit Original Documents to the Facilitation Centre after the Document Verification?:
Ans: NO ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE FACILITATION CENTRES. However, you are required to submit one set of Self Attested Photocopies to the Facilitation Centre after the Document Verification.
21. Is there any Document I should collect from Facilitation Centre after Document Verification process?:
Ans: Yes. You must collect Document Verification Report from the Facilitation Centre without fail. You are required to produce the Document Verification Report at the Counselling centre at the time of Counselling.
22. Is It Compulsory for me to Choose Counselling Centre while submitting my online Application?:
Ans: Yes. It is mandatory to choose either JAMMU (or) SRINAGAR for counselling while submitting your Online Application.
23. I passed XIIth standard from the Board outside of J&K. Am I eligible to apply for admission under J&K SSS?:
Ans: In order to apply under J&K SSS one should have passed XIIth Standard only from any of the boards in J&K State.
Merit list of J&K PMSSSS is released today and my rank is 7500 out of 1400. Am I eligible for admission? Can I get admission in any college?

Yesterday, I have filled the form for medical stream but by mistake, I uploaded the monthly income in place of annual income. Can it be corrected?
Its very Simple. Just search for the college you want to study. Check whether it is AICTE approved or not. If it is then note down the Institute code/ID of the college. Use this code/ID and college name at the time of counselling through JKPMSSS. You will get your dream college. But Remember only 2 students can get admission in the same Branch of the same college.
I have registered for JKPMSSS. I tried to login my account. I am unable to login I get an error message saying that my user Id and password is invalid. Please provide a solution.

I had applied for a scholarship under PMSS for the year 2015-16. I was denied it without any valid reasons initially. I took up the case with AICTE and it took me almost more than one year to accept my claim. How can I get my scholarship?
I am Tariq Ahmad Mir from Kashmir studying in oriental school of hotel management, I am waiting for last one year, but my scholarship is not sanctioned yet. I am in trouble because college principal asking about fee, this is my second year and they are not allowing me in college now. My documents are verified two times and &6 times I came to AICTE office and two time I upload my documents.
I have taken the admission in the academic year 2012-13 in Gurukul Vidyiapeeth institute of Engineering and Technology OPPOSITE Gyian Sager Medical collage Banur Ramnagar Patiala Punjab Under roll No 1252614 in B. Tech Civil.
I was selected for PMMS Scholarship for the academic year 2012-13 and 2014-15 but the collage administration did not paid me the PMMS scholarship as already stands sanctioned neither they informed me regarding the sanctioned scholarship which all amount of fees like tuition fee/hostel fee and other fees from borrowing the loan from bank and also college authority have not renewed the my PMMS scholarship for the academic year 2014-15 and 2015-16. I was admitted for B.tech.course at MY OWN in IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Also I appeared in the counseling at Jammu in July 2016 and was eligible for AICTE prime minister Spl. scholarship scheme for JK students. I have uploaded the required documents/details etc. but my college/institute has not issued to user ID and password etc by the AICTE. I have requested through mail to AICTE many times as phone no. given is not being attended by AICTE, but till date user ID etc has not allotted to my institute. Therefore the institute is unable to upload the required documents who should be contacted for this problem.
You should consult Aicte office Delhi. They have a hacking system. You will get your email and password easily. I was suffering from the same but now I got the same.

I have received only part of the Scholarship amount, how to claim the remaining amount of scholarship?
Ans: If a student has NOT paid any fee to the college, Tuition Fee is released as per the fee prescribed by the State Fee Committee and Hostel Fee for only one semester is released. Scholarship in all such cases will be released in two installments. Remaining fee will be released in second installment, during Cycle II in the month of January.
I have got admission in B- tech under pmsss ( 2015-2016 ). Recently I received scholarship 46000 thousand only that much amount is only tuition fee. I want to know why hostel fee has not been transferred in my account. Please say when will hostel fee be transferred in my account?

I have taken admission in 2014-15 batch. When I got the admission, at that time the rule was the college will claim for our fees and now you have made a new rule for the batch 2015-16 that the students of batch 2015-16 have to claim for the fees by themselves. This scheme is just a game and nothing else. Out of 10000 candidates only 130 open merit students have been awarded scholarships for engineering. I was personally present at the counseling centre srinagar where I saw a student whose rank no was 412 and he was not awarded scholarship. Similarly all other students moved back to their homes despite being highly meritorious.
Central govt is just making fun of Kashmiri students.

There is No counselling for Medical Stream. However, the candidate who seeks admission in any of the courses in Medical Stream (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.) on his/her own merit within the sanctioned intake in any of the institutions recognized by the respective Regulatory bodies & located outside the State of J&K is eligible to avail the benefit of scholarship under this scheme based on the merit at class XIIth and number of seats available under the scheme, provided the candidate has submitted his/her online application under General Stream for admissions under J & K SSS 2015-16 and the documents are verified by any of the facilitation centres.
