Award To Brilliant SC Students :
Under this scheme, Scheduled Castes students studying from 6th to 12th classes are awarded Rs.100/-P.M. per student who secure 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions amongst educational block.

There are 228 educational blocks and students (3 boys and 3 girls) are selected annually in each educational block on the basis of merit secured at the level of each examination i.e. 5th, 8th and 10th classes conducted by Punjab School Education Board. Selected students get award for 3 years, 2 years and 2 years respectively.
Norms :
The aim of this scheme is to inculcate the spirit of the competition among Scheduled Caste students in the field of education.
Year of Start :
This scheme was started in the year 1984-85 and implemented through the Director Public Instruction (S.E), Punjab. This scheme has been covered under Online Banking Management System from the year 2012-13.
Know About SC Pre Matric Scholarship :
Scholarship under the Scheme will be available for studies in India only and will be awarded by the Government of the State/Union Territory to which the applicant belongs i.e. where he is domiciled.
Conditions of Eligibility :
(i) Student should belong to Scheduled Caste.
(ii) His/ her Parent/Guardian’s income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhper annum.
(iii) She / he should not be getting any other Centrally-funded Pre-Matric Scholarship.
(iv) She/ he should be a regular, full time student studying in aGovernment School or in a School recognized by Govt. or aCentral/State Board of Secondary Education.
(v) Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, she / he would not getscholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.
Annual Parental/Guardian’s Income :
Scholarships will be paid to the students whose parents/guardians’ income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakh only) per annum.
Duration & Renewal of Awards:
(i) The scholarship will be payable for 10 months in an academic year.
(ii) The award once made will continue subject to good conduct and regularity in attendance. It will be renewed for Class X after the student passes Class IX.
Payment of Scholarship:
Scholarship is payable from 1st April or from the month of admission, whichever is later, to the month in which the examinations are completed, at the end of the academic year (including scholarship during holidays), provided that if the scholar secures admission after the 20th day of a month, the amount will be paid from the month following the month of admission.
