Inspire Scholarship :
Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, offers INSPIRE scholarship for 5Yr. Integrated course (except Economics-HS branch).

The students who have been already offered INSPIRE Scholarship up to admission-year 2016, shall continue to receive till the completion of course or 5 year, whichever is earlier. INSPIRE Scholarship amount GD Rs.60000/- and Mentorship amount GD Rs.20000/- per year.
Online applications are invited through ERP site for Renewal and Fresh INSPIRE Scholarship for the Academic Session 2017-18 from the students of 5 Yr. Integrated M.Sc. course only (except Economics-HS branch).
Eligibility Criterion:
1. The students’ of 2nd Yr. and onwards (Batch : 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 & 2016-17) 5yr. Int, M.Sc. course (except Economics-HS branch) who were awarded INSPIRE Scholarship, their academic performance in the consecutive semesters of the session (2016-17):
(i) GPA must not be lower than 6.00 without any back log subject(s) and clearing all prescribed credit requirements during the session (2016-17) and
(ii) GPA will be calculated to Total Credit Taken and Total Credit Clear of preceding two semesters as updated after the supplementary examination which is followed the session (2016-17).
Students who have backlog, unregistered in any subject(s) in 2016-17, are not eligible for INSPIRE Scholarship.
2. The students’ of 1 Year (2017-18) 5 Yr. Int. M.Sc. course only (except Economics – HS branch) admitted securing an All India Rank (AIR) within 10000 in Common Merit List (CML) of IIT JEE-2017, are eligible for INSPIRE Scholarship for the year 2017-18 to be awarded by DST New Delhi.
Please note the following points:
Students (belonging to above branches only) who have applied for MCM Scholarship to be awarded by this Institute or already in receipt of KVPY/NTSE Scholarship, they are not eligible for INSPIRE Scholarship.
Once a student is awarded MCM or KVPY Scholarship, he/she has to continue the same and at no stage he/she can switch over from existing MCM/KVPY to INSPIRE Scholarship for the year 2017-18.

The hardcopy of the Application duly filled and signed with enclosing the relevant documents as stated above to be submitted to Academic (UG) Section on or before 16th August 2017.
Under no circumstances the hard copy of INSPIRE Scholarship application for Renewal & Fresh for the year 2017-18 will be accepted beyond 16th August 2017.
N.B. :
Those students against whom disciplinary action have been taken or pending against them during the preceding year (i.e. 2016-17) or they have been punished by the competent authority under examination malpractice or involved in violation of code of conduct in Institute/Hall of Residence/Department/ Gymkhana, are not eligible for award of INSPIRE Scholarship for the year 2017-18.
