Directorate of Minorities is implementing Pre-Matric, Post-Matric & Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship schemes in Karnataka.
Every year out of total no. of students apply nearly 30% to 40% of students get Scholarship amount from Government of India (GOI), rest of 60% to 70% students get Scholarship from Government of Karnataka (GOK) to cover 100% Scholarships to eligible student
Status of 2016-17 :
** Total applied under NSP portal 1264965
** Scholarships sancioned by GOI 432751. Should apply as Renewal for 2017-18 under NSP
** Scholarships sancioned by GOK 832214. Should apply as Fresh for 2017-18 under NSP
Instructions To Students :
** SMS alerts are sent to all 432751 students who received Scholarship from GOI, directing them to apply under renewal.
** SMS alerts are also sent to all 832214 students who received Scholarship from GOK, directing them to apply under fresh.
** For such of those students who have not given proper mobile numbers & have not received any such SMS, should try first applying under renewal option, if fails apply under fresh.
Post Matric Scholarship 2017-18 :
Eligibility Conditions :
1. The students should have scored 50% marks and above in their previous Semester (for semester wise courses) Previous year (for year wise courses)
2. Annual income of the students’ Parents/Guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs.2 Lakh for Post-Matric Scholarship.
3. Students pursuing correspondence education and certificate courses or trainings are not eligible.
4. Students of Karnataka domicile studying in other States are also eligible to apply in Karnataka.
5. Students of other States studying in Karnataka are not eligible to apply from Karnataka.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2017-18 :
Eligibility Conditions :
1. The students should have scored 50% marks and above in their previous Semester (for semester wise courses) Previous year (for year wise courses)
2. Annual income of the students’ Parents/Guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.5 Lakh for Merit Cum Means (MCM) & Top Class.
3. Students pursuing correspondence education and certificate courses or trainings are not eligible.
4. Students of Karnataka domicile studying in other States are also eligible to apply in Karnataka.
5. Students of other States studying in Karnataka are not eligible to apply from Karnataka.
Pre Matric Scholarship 2017-18 :
Eligibility Conditions :
1. The student should have scored more than 50% marks in their previous Annual examination. (Not applicable for students studying in 1ststd)
2. Annual income of the students’ Parents / Guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs.1.0 Lakh.
3. Students of Karnataka domicile studying in other States are also eligible to apply in Karnataka.
4. Students of other states studying in Karnataka are not eligible to apply in Karnataka.
