Scholarships:
The college ensures that the underprivileged students avail of every scholarship offered by the government.

The college now avails of 22 university Merit scholarships, 2 State Merit scholarships, 120 post-metric scholarships, 10 post-metric minority scholarships, 8 scholarships for Muslim girls instituted in the name of Shri. Paloli Mohammed Kutty, 4 scholarships for the single girl child, 7 Kerala State Suvarna Jubilee Merit, 20 Higher Education scholarships, 39 under the Central Sector scheme, and 2 Sitaram Jindal Foundation scholarships.
A total of 910 students avail scholarships under various schemes. It is largely thanks to the interest taken by non-teaching staff members that college is able to over so many scholarships.
B.A/B.Sc/B.Com Students:
The college has several scholarship programmes for 1 B.A/B.Sc/B.Com students:
University Merit Students from Mahatma Gandhi University only can apply. The first 15 from each class should bring the attested copies of Higher Secondary and S.S.L.C mark list to the scholarship counter.
Kerala State Govt. Merit Scholarship :
Students who secure 60% of marks and above from Mahatma Gandhi/Kerala/Calicut University can apply. Eligible candidates should come to the scholarship counter for application.
State Merit Scholarship Cum Means Basis :
Students from Mahatma Gandhi/ Kerala/Calicut University apply. Those who have secured I Class and whose parent’s annual income is below Rs.10000/- for Degree and 12000/- for P.G. can apply. Eligible candidates please e to the scholarship counter for application.
Hindi Scholarship:
Students from Non Hindi speaking states can apply. Those who have taken Hindi as their second language with 110 marks can apply. Application can be had from the scholarship counter.
Strict Merit Scholarship :
Students who are in receipt of District Merit Scholarship for Higher Secondary can renew their scholarship for Degree. Please come to the scholarship counter immediately.
Muslim/Nadar Scholarship :
Students with 60% marks whose annual income is Rs.6000/- and below can apply. Please come to the scholarship counter for application.
Physically Handicapped Scholarship:
Physically handicapped students can apply. Students with 40% marks and whose annual income is below Rs. 25000/- can apply. Please come to the scholarship counter immediately.
Fisheries Scholarship :
Fishermen’s children can apply. Such students please come ‘to the scholarship counter immediately.
Temple Entry Scholarship:
Only SC/ST students can apply. Students with 50% marks should come to the scholarship counter immediately.
Hindustan Petroleum Scholarship:
Students who have secured 45% of marks and above, whose parental income is Rs. 25000/- and below can apply. Such students should report at the scholarship counter in the month of January.
About St.Teresa’s College :
St.Teresa’s College, a pioneering institution in the field of Higher Education in India, was established on 15th June in the year 1925, as the first Women’s College of the erstwhile Cochin State and the second in the whole of Kerala by the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa.
It started functioning in one of the large halls of St.Teresa’s High School with Sr.Beatrice as its first Principal and Mother Veronica as the first Manager and a student strength of just 41.
