HIMT College offers attractive scholarships to reward merit, to encourage excellence and to make education accessible to students of all economic strata. The Institute has initiated a thriving tradition of offering various Scholarships every year to meritorious and deserving students.
1. Merit-Cum- Means based Scholarships: In memory of Late Smt. Madhurika Suresh Vakil
Every academic year, several scholarships are awarded on the criteria of need – cum-merit. These scholarships are awarded to trainees from the low income group who achieve continuous meritorious academic performance and demonstrated economic needs are the key criteria for this scholarship.
Madhurika Educational and Charitable trust has instituted 3 Merit cum Means based scholarships for GP rating students from 2006 in memory of Late Smt. Madhurika Suresh Vakil.
The objective is to provide financial support to those identified students undergoing GP rating course at HIMT College. Each student undergoing the 6 months GP rating course is given a Scholarship amount of Rs. 25,000/-.
2. Merit Scholarships :
Madhurika Educational & Charitable Trust Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students of various courses based on their outstanding academic performance.
3. Best Performance Merit Scholarships: (HIMT award of excellence)
In order to encourage and reward, Academic achievement the Management of HIMT College has decided to institute scholarships to meritorious students. The name of the scholarship award will be “HIMT award of Excellence “. The award will be available to all batches effective from the following dates.
4 years B.Tech (ME) Course – All Batches:
For the candidate from the B.Tech stream with maximum marks overall in the two semesters which form the Academic year, (without any arrears in each semester)- Rank 1 & 2, provided they have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate. This will be finalized when the IMU results for the 2nd/4th/6th/8th Semester are declared.
Rank 1 : Rs. 20,000/-
Rank 2 : Rs. 10,000/-
3 years B.Sc (NS) Course – All Batches:
For the candidate from the B.Sc stream with maximum marks overall in the two semesters which form the Academic year, (without any arrears in each semester)-Rank 1 & 2, provided they have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate. This will be finalized when the IMU results for the 2nd/4th/6th Semester are declared.

Rank 2 : Rs. 10,000/-
2 years DME Course – All Batches:
For the candidate from the DME stream with maximum marks overall in the course (without any arrears in each semester) – Rank 1 & 2, provided they have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate.
Rank 1 : Rs. 10,000/-
Rank 2 : Rs. 5,000/-
1 year GME course – All Batches:
For the candidate from the GME stream with maximum marks overall in the two semesters which form the Academic year(without any arrears in each semester) – Rank 1 & 2, provided they have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate. Results will be declared in Aug and Feb.
Rank 1 : Rs. 10,000/-
Rank 2 : Rs. 5,000/-
6 months GP Rating course- All Batches:
For the candidate from the GP Stream with maximum marks overall during the course. Results will be declared in June and December.- Rank 1 & 2, provided they have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate.
Rank 1 : Rs. 20,000/-
Rank 2 : Rs. 10,000/-
4 Months ETO Course- All Batches:
For the Candidate from the ETO stream with best overall performance Best performance
Rank 1 : Rs. 10,000/-
Rank 2 : Rs. 5,000/-
4. Benchmark setters award of Excellence- Waiver of 100% Tuition Fee:
First year students of HIMT College who secure the highest marks in the Plus Two examinations at All India level will have their entire tuition fee waived for the first academic year.
Similarly, if the same student continues to secure highest marks in hischosen discipline, (without any arrears in each semester) in the subsequent years, then 100% of his tuition fees would be waived.
5. Walk-in-Walk-out Scholarships:
The top ten rank holders of any State or Central Board Examination at the Plus Two or equivalent level are entitled to pursue any of the Pre-sea courses at 50% of the tuition fees.
Similarly, if the same student continues to secure highest marks (without any arrears in each semester) in the subsequent years, then 50% of his tuition fees would be waived.
