Post Matric Scholarship 2015-16:

Online applications are invited in the prescribed format from the students belonging to the (Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis & Jains) pursuing any course from class XI to PhD Level in an institution recognized by an appropriate authority are eligible for Post Matric Scholarship for the year 2015-16 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.

Aadhaar card number is required to apply online.

Conditions For Scholarship:

1. Students should be resident of Haryana state.
2. Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.
3. An Income Certificate issued by an authorized Officer in the State/UT be submitted. The Income Certificate would remain valid for One Year.
4. Student obtaining benefits under this scheme will not be allowed to avail of any other benefit under any other scheme for pursuing the same course.

Rate of Scholarship:

1.Admission and tuition fee for classes XI and XII:
Hosteller : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.7,000 p.a.
Day scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.7,000 p.a.

2. Admission and course/tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of XI and XII level. (Includes fees/charges for raw materials, etc.):
Hosteller: Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.10,000 p.a.
Day scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.10,000 p.a.

3. Admission and tuition fee for under graduate, post graduate:
Hosteller: Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.3,000 p.a.
Day scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.3,000 p.a.

4. Maintenance allowance for 10 months only in an academic year (Includes expenses for study material, etc.):
(i) Classes XI and XII including technical and vocational courses of this level:
Hosteller: Rs.380 p.m.
Day scholar : Rs.230 p.m.

(ii)Courses other than technical and professional courses at under- graduate and post graduate level:
Hosteller: Rs.570 p.m.
Day scholar : Rs.300 p.m.

(iii) M. Phil and Ph.D.: (For those researchers who are not awarded any fellowship by university or any other authority)
Hosteller: Rs.1200 p.m.
Day scholar : Rs.550 p.m.

How to apply:

1. Eligible students can apply online on the website www.scholarships.gov.in.
2. Students will forward their applications online to the Institutions and will also take a printout.
3. This printout along with all requisite documents will be submitted to the concerned institutions.
