The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.

Who are Eligible ?
Students belonging to minority communities viz. Muslim/Christian/Sikh/Buddhist/Jain/Parsi (Zoroastrian) studying in India are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
How to Apply?
In order to apply online please visit the website through URL ww.scholarships.gov.in link to the site is also provided in the website of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, i.e. www.minorityaffairs.gov.in.
Applying Procedure
Fresh
1. Visit National Scholarship Portal.
2. Click on the “New User” button.
3. Applicant fill up the following details,
i. Personal Details
ii. Academic Details
iii. Scheme Details
iv. Bank Details
v. Contact Details.
4. Students have to submit the application accordingly.
5. After submitting, the “Permanent Id will be generated.
Renewal
1. Renewal Students have to apply with their Permanent id which they got previous year (i.e. 2014-15).
2. Students must enter their Permanent Id by clicking ‘Login’ button to apply for renewal.
Note:
Uploading of documents is mandatory for both Fresh and Renewal cases under Merit cum Means scheme. While applying for scholarship, students must upload the required documents as per the instructions

1. Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory)
2. Income Certificate issued by an authorized Officer in the State/UT – (Mandatory)
3. Declaration of the Student. (Mandatory)
4. Religion Certificate. (Mandatory)
5. (i) In case of Fresh : Self-Attested Certificate of Last Board Exam Passed as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
(ii) In case of Renewal : Self-Attested Certificate of Last Exam Passed as filled in the Form. (Mandatory)
6. Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’. (Mandatory)
7. Proof of Bank Account in the Name of the Student. (Mandatory)
8. Aadhaar Card (Optional)
9. Proof of Address (Optional)
Note:
i. Students must select their bank/branch details carefully from the drop down list. Thereafter the complete account no. must be entered correctly.
ii. If bank details entered by students are found incorrect, the scholarship amount will not be transferred.

Those who are yet to receive MCM scholarship for the year 2015-16 need to wait for at least two more months since there is shortage of funds. If the status is ‘payment sent to ministry for further processing’, renewal application can be given for 2016-17. I have same issue.The pfms website says under processing(bank cbs) for over 2 months with a transaction date of 31/03/2016. I contacted nodal officer. He said my scores are low and not eligible for merit list. I scored 57% in graduation. I study in Mumbai and students with same scores have received scholarship. How is it even possible that merit list of Maharashtra have percentage as low as 55 and student from Gujarat is not eligible for merit?

My status has been verified from 2 months, scholarship portal has been showing that payment sent to pfms and its been more than a month. Its showing payment processing through bank cbs(core banking).
Today, I had a talk with the nodal officer in Ranchi. And that guy said that I have to wait for 1 more month and payment may come in June.
Payment has been released by the government but this is the fault of these people that they don’t have time to do their work and forward our payment.
The process is simple, when the payment is sent to pfms, they just have to e-sign it and the amount will be transferred to the recipient bank account.
Seeing their condition, don’t know if they are going to send the money in 2016.
My national portal scholarship registered no is AS201516001200164. NPS site shows all verification done and even bank validation completed and payment send through pfms. In pfms site it shows that NO DATA FOUND. So by what time I would get the scholarship?

He said “Your application for scholarship is pending for verification at institute level. Contact your institution immediately to get your application verified” on red color text.
What can I do?
At first your application will be forwarded to the institution where you were studying.
After the staffs in your institution verify your profile they will forward your profile to the state government. Your profile is blocked at the first stage itself.
Ask your institution responsibility staffs to check their verification portal and make them to forward it to state government.
Then only state nodal officers will verify and forward it to central government.
You are a fresh or renewed candidate I mean no body has got scholarship from WB till now.

I think scholarship will be given up to end of march because in today’s news paper they mention that about 90 lakh students will get this year. Don’t take any tension regarding scholarship

May be! Because no students have got the scholarship amount up to now and 31st march is the last date for sanction. If it passes, then definitely we will not get in this year. May be in next year amount will be sanctioned.

All renewal candidates will get the scholarship amount before 30th March and the amount which is shown in the app is your college fee.

It would be of great help if the scholarship for both fresh and renewal is sanctioned before 15th march as the students have to pay the fees , and some have plans of joining extra courses to enhance their career. Please do the needful of sanctioning asap.
My friend already got the amount of Rs.25000 for renewal but what’s about us. We are still waiting. Why if the amount was released means we all should get together now but someone has got someone not get. Those who need money they don’t get till now but those who belong to rich family got. It is a legal issue. I need money. I have to pay in college already they are out of fine because of late payment till now I haven’t paid in college.

Why they need so much time for this year? Previous year we got our scholarship amount around December. But its march and no notification get released.
MCM scholarship is not being granted since states have not given the utilization certificate (proof of grants to students for scholarship:students is allowed )
States those who do not submit before 9th march students wouldn’t be getting the scholarship.
Last date for the ministry to allocate funds for the scholarship is 31st march.

I applied the renewal of MOMA scholarship. But at that time I failed one paper in my exam. After the revaluation result I was passed. But now I am checking my status of Moma scholarship they shows rejected. How can I edit or change my result in the site? And now I am eligible or not?
Please specify the tentative date for the disbursement MCM scholarship 2015-2016. Feb is going to be over but there is no any sound of scholarship disbursement from nodal officer. Please atleast specify the tentative date so that we can hope within that date.

No one knows whether MCM scholarship will be sanctioned in this financial year or not because they are not telling what is exactly going on internally between state department and MHRD.
When will I get my scholarship? Can any one say? I am waiting since one month. When I call the minority office some are saying it will come before 31st march and some are saying it will come within 25 Feb.
Within 25 Feb is not possible because bank request has not been sent yet and what about after 31st march?
Yes they are right. You gonna get scholarship in third quarter of next financial year (Nov 2016).

It will be entirely depended on your state nodal officer , because central government is not gonna release the fund until and unless they get the utilization certificate ( UC) of last year ( 2014-15) or any other ( if any ). State nodal officer has to submit UC before 02.16.

Why it is so late this time , earlier during this period we have our scholarship amount in our account and minority department well know that every semester student has to pay the fees to their college.
My scholarship was rejected because in early September, the website only accepted CGPA but later, it only accepted percentage. Now when asked , they said that we must ask for one time re-submission of Qualification Details from the state nodal officer so that they can again accept my form. The Nodal Officer himself sent a mail regarding my scholarship to the concerned authorities, the application status of mine still shows it is rejected. What can I do next?

No updates, but there is a difference in status when checked on the app, the status differs when you check it on android, and its different when checked on iphone.

Please explain the reason for rejecting the Eligibility Merit List Generation. All the other fields College Administrator,State Department Nodal Officer,Merit List Generation Status are verified. Is there any error? Need to worry about it? Please inform us,because lot of them facing the same thing.
The checking/verification for these scholarships have been extended till 19th December 2015. So we all should wait till then and after that contact in case the status hasn’t changed the authorities or the helpline.

I had applied for merit cum means scholarship for 2014-15 as per status it was sanctioned to me and at that time I was in BE final year but now I had completed my course and the reason for which I didn’t got the scholarship was I typed wrong account number during online submission but I mailed bank pass photocopy to the mcm site for further verification and updated my account number in the national portal site. So please help me to get the scholarship which was sanctioned to me
I applied the MOMA scholarship last year and I got it as well in this also I submitted my documents and then I got a message from them saying that I have successfully submitted my application along with my permanent registration number. But now when I try to open it up using the permanent registration number it says that “You are not eligible for renewal as you have not fulfilled the minimum percentage” But i have adequate percentage to apply for this scholarship.. I have also given all the necessary documents.. Then why is it showing ineligible?

Whether 2nd year PUC or 2nd year BUMS mark sheet? And how to scan self declaration form and income certificate form online?
Is Income certificate form and self declaration form and institute verification form available in online application?
