Minority Affairs Post Matric Scholarship
The Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities was announced in June, 2006. It provides that a post-matric scholarship scheme for meritorious students from minority communities would be implemented.

The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
Who are eligible ?
Students belonging to notified minority communities viz. Muslim/Christian/Sikh/Buddhist/Jain/Parsi (Zoroastrian) studying in India only and fulfilling the Scheme guidelines are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
How to Apply?
The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is online Scheme. In order to apply online please visit the website through URL www.scholarships.gov.in link to the site is also provided in the website of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, i.e. www.minorityaffairs.gov.in.
Applying Procedure
Fresh
For registration, go through the option “Student login” on the home page of National Scholarship Portal then click on “New User” button. Thereafter the system will instruct the applicant to fill up the application in five different tabs i.e. Personal Details, Academic Details, Scheme Details, Bank Details And Contact Details. Students have to submit the application accordingly. After submitting, the “Permanent Id will be generated. Student should memorize the PID which will be required to open the submitted application at any stage.
Renewal
Renewal Students have to apply with their Permanent id which they got previous year (i.e. 2014-15). Students must enter their Permanent Id by clicking the option Student Login on the home page, then have to click on ‘Login’ button to apply for renewal.
Note:
Uploading of documents is mandatory for both Fresh and Renewal cases under Post Matric Scholarship scheme. While applying for scholarship, students must upload the required documents as per the instructions
Procedure to register school/college/institution
** Open the URL-www.scholarships.gov.in in the web browser
** National Scholarship Portal Home Page is Displayed
** Click on the Services – Register School/College (In Home Page)
** Before Registering, check if it is already Registered with the Portal by using the “Find School/College” Details available on the left hand side of the webpage.
** If it is not found in the list then proceed for registration by Selecting “Register School/College” available on the right hand side of the web page.
** A Registration Form titled -Register School/College/University Details is displayed on the Right Hand Side of the Webpage
** Fill in the Institute Registration Form as provided and click on submit button.
** Once the Online form is Successfully Submitted, The Institute will be verified and approved by the respective state Nodal Officer.
** Some states have published the details of nodal officers to the National Scholarships Portal. These can be viewed by clicking on “Services – Know your state nodal officer” on the home page.
** After the Verification & Approval process,the respective Login Credentials (user id and password) will communicated to the school/college through SMStothe State Nodal Officer.
Required Documents
The list of documents to be uploaded for both Fresh & Renewal Scholarship under Post Matric is as under:
1. Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory)
2. Income Certificate issued by an authorized Officer in the State/UT – (Mandatory)
3. Declaration of the Student. (Mandatory)
4. Religion Certificate. (Mandatory)
5. (i) In case of Fresh: Self-Attested Certificate of Last Board Exam Passed as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
(ii) In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Last Exam Passed as filled in the Form. (Mandatory)
6. Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’. (Mandatory)
7. Proof of Bank Account in the Name of the Student. (Mandatory)
8. Aadhaar Card (Optional)
9. Proof of Address (Optional)
Note:
Students must select their bank/branch details carefully from the drop down list. Thereafter the complete account no. must be entered correctly. If bank details entered by students are found incorrect, the scholarship amount will not be transferred, though the application is approved for scholarship.

Why everyone are getting different amounts as scholarship, Is the government being biased?
I’m from Assam, had just received 10K, is that money enough to be in a college for a year? Whereas my friend got more than lakh. He is from Merut.

As stated in the scheme Rs.20000 for tuition fees will be provided which ever is less I have submitted my course tuition fess structure which is 450000 to 60000 per semester but I received a scholarship of 10000 though I am merit listed. Please reconsider.
I applied post metric scholarship for degree 2015-16 academic year. Then I got seat. I took my tc from degree college to diet college and I joined. Now I tried to apply scholarship for ttc through online. It shows you already applied. So how can I get scholarship for ttc?
