All the Heads of the Departments / Centre’s are hereby advised to inform the eligible students of their concerned departments that the Ministry of Minority Affairs Govt. of India is offering the Merit –Cum – Means and the Post – Matric Scholarship Schemes for the students belonging to minority communities.

Post Matric Scholarship :
Fresh Scholarships:
Eligibility:
** Students should have secured more than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
** Parental annual income should not exceed 2.0 Lakhs

Last date of submission of application form 31st of August 2017. Last date for final submission of printed applications including all the requisite documents by the student for fresh scholarship applications in their respective departments.

Renewal Scholarships:
Eligibility:
** Students should have passed in their previous 2 semesters.
** Parental annual income should not exceed 2.0 Lakhs.

Last date of submission of application form 31st of July 2017. Last date for final submission of printed applications including all the requisite documents by the student for renewal scholarship applications in their respective departments.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship :
Fresh Scholarships:
Eligibility:

The eligible students are advised to Logon to www.scholarships.gov.in wherein, the students Modules are active for both fresh as well as renewal students.

Important Notes for the Students:
1. The students who have been selected under Self Financing or NRI category are not eligible for this scheme.
2. The students who are already availing any other scholarship from any other source are not eligible for this scheme.
3. Not more than two students from a family can apply for the Scholarship.

4. The students applying for the scholarship are advised to submit the hard copies (Print out of the 3 declarations) in their respective departments with all the requisite documents immediately after taking the print out of the declaration forms, which will be authenticated by their respective department with the signature of Head of the Department with a departmental stamp on “INSTITUTION VERIFICATION FORM”.

5. Before submitting the hard copies by the student for verification in the department, the students are advised to attach all the documents like Institution verification form, Student declaration form, Income declaration form, previous academic certificate, state subject and the fee receipts of two previous semesters with the application form and only one fee receipt in case of fresh admission.

6. The Students pursuing B-Tech, MCA, MBA/ IB, programmes can apply in Merit Cum Means Scheme whereas, the Students pursuing M.A, BBA, M.Sc. FT, M.Sc. I.T, B.Sc AFM, M.Sc Statistics, M.Sc Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, M-Tech Food Technology, B.A (Hons in English) and Diploma programmes can apply in the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme.

7. The students applying for renewal scholarship are advised to fill the aggregate marks in their Online Application Form of their last two semesters (Complete one year) and also attach the latest two marks certificates (Attested Photostat copies) of the semesters with the application form.

8. Students are STRICTLY advised to fill the PERSONAL BANK account details e.g. (16 Digit A/c No for J & K Bank and 11 Digit A/c No for State Bank of India) with correct IFSC and MICR Code in the Online Application Form.

9. If the bank account details will be in the name of any other family member, or there will be any discrepancy in the IFSC and MICR code, the scholarship will not be granted to such student.

10. The student who applies in the online portal under ST, OBC, RBA, and Physically Challenged category cannot apply under offline mode, if found so both the applications of such student will be rejected.

11. The student enrolled in any semester of their respective branches and who have not been benefitted with any scholarship till date are advised to apply as a fresh applicant and also they provide the marks and the percentage of their previous academic qualification, while submitting the online application form (10+2 marks details in case of Merit cum Means and graduation marks details in case of Post Matric Scholarship).

12. Attested Photostat copies of the below mentioned testimonials are to be attached with the application form, after uploading the documents by the student on the web portal and later on submission of the same in their respective departments

B) Institution Verification Form
C) Self Declaration of the Income Certificate by the student)
D) Self declaration of community by the student
E) In case of fresh scholarship: self attested certificate of previous academic mark sheet
F) In case of Renewal : Self declaration certificate of previous year mark sheet
G) Date of Birh Certificate
H) Marks Certificates starting from Class 10th
I) Pass Book of the Student J) State Subject Certificate) K) Fee Receipt of current course year.

Important Notes for the Head of the Departments:
1. The Head of the Departments are advised to make it convenient to scrutinize the documents attached with the application form well, before authenticating the Verification Form submitted by the student.
2. The Institution verification form submitted by the student should be duly attested with the signature of Head of the department with a departmental stamp.
3. After the final submission of the scholarship form by the student, the same should reach to the office of the chemistry department on weekly basis with a list of applicants, applied for the scholarship.
4. The scholarship notification for Basic B.Sc Nursing will be notified separately.
