Management Merit Scholarship :

Eligibility for applying scholarship scheme A from Type IV to IX

Eligibility:
General: Cut off Mark 140 and above in H.Sc (SB) or Cut off Mark 120 and above in H.Sc (CBSE) or 75%marks with First appearance in Diploma or Degree
OBC : Cut off Mark 130 and above in H.Sc (SB) or Cut off Mark 110 and above in H.Sc (CBSE) or 70%marks with First appearance in Diploma or Degree
SC/ST/Person With Disability (PwD) : Cut off Mark 120 and above in H.Sc(SB) or Cut off Mark 100 and above in H.Sc (CBSE) or 65%marks with First appearance in Diploma or Degree

Cut off Mark calculation for B.Tech:
** Maths-50% + Physics-25% + Chemistry-25% = 200 Marks
(OR)
** Biology-50% + Physics-25% + Chemistry-25% = 200Marks
(OR)
** Maths-50% + (Vocational theory + Practical I+ Practical II) – 50% = 200Marks

And other eligible combinations of subjects include Vocational subjects as calculatedby The State / Central Government.

Norms and Conditions:
** Students are eligible to avail any one of the scholarship only.
** B.Arch Students are eligible to avail any one of the scholarship in scheme A Type from I, II, III and V and scheme B.
** Students can apply for scholarship only after paying full fees (as on stipulated date).
** The number of beneficiary to avail scholarship is limited to only 5 % of sanctioned intake, on first come first served basis.
** First Graduate students and other students have to produce necessary documents in original as proof issued by the competent authorities.
** The final decision regarding the award of scholarship rests with Periyar Maniammai University, subject to the decision of the scholarship committee.
** The scholarship is applicable for only in I year (regular) / II year (lateral).
** Condition for renewal of scholarship in subsequent years, i.e. for II, III , IV & V years the candidates shall,

(i) Obtain ‘O’ grade in attendance in all subjects in all semesters.
(ii) a) Obtain either O / A+ / A grade in individual subjects of each semester for availing academic meritorious scholarship (Scheme A I, II and III).
b) Obtain either O / A+ / A / B+ / B grade in individual subjects of each Semester for availing all the remaining scholarships (Scheme A IV to IX).

(O) 91 and Above
(A+) 81 to 90
(A) 71 to 80
(B+) 61 to 70
(B) 55 to 60
