Lalji Mehrotra Scholarship

The Lalji Mehrotra scholarship is an All India scholarship designed to help meritorious students strapped for resources to pursue further technical education. It is also intended to promote life long learning.

Scholarships upto 90 % are offered. Total number of scholarships to be offered each year will depend upon the annual budget.

Eligibility Details :
** Candidates can apply for scholarship in the second term of apprenticeship
** Candidates can apply for upto 3 years after passing from LMTI or any other ITI provided they present employment proof for the interim period.
** Candidates should apply for scholarship after securing admissions for further education
** The Scholarship would be awarded as per the matrix outlined below :

Percent marks scored in ITI Performance Feedback from Apprenticeship % of scholarship :
Category 1 :
> 75% marks obtained with > 80% in practical test A, A+ 90%

Category 2 :
> 65% marks obtained with> 70% in practical test A, A+ 75 %

Scholarships for pursuing technical education will be given preference.

Procedures :
Applicants can procure the application forms from LMTI. The forms have to signed and testimonials attached for selection

Applications of eligible candidates will be considered on first-come-first-serve basis.

The first 50 applicants fulfilling the criteria in each category will be considered for approval. If the applicants for category 2 are insufficient and there is a surplus of eligible candidates from category 1, the surplus will be automatically considered for category 2 as per their order in the first instance.
Continuation of scholarship to the following semester will be dependent on the candidate’s performance in the previous semester. The scholarship will be continued provided the student has acquired a minimum of 75% for Category 1 and 65% for category 2 marks and no indiscipline has been reported against him/her. In the event the admission to the next semester precedes the declaration of results, the student shall pay his/her fee by themselves, which will be reimbursed to them by cheque or DD on fulfilling the criteria.

The scholarship would be awarded on fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Any candidate can avail of only one scholarship at a time.

The offer of scholarship is at the sole discretion of Lalji Mehrotra Technical Institute and decision of such offer of scholarship shall be final and binding on the student.
