Indian Navy Merit Scholarship
Merit Scholarship from INBA is initially tenable for the duration of graduation and thereafter for post graduation courses limited to 6 years study post 10+2 higher education. The scholarships are to be renewed every year by making a fresh application complete in all respects and accompanied with requisite documents/marks sheet if, the applicant meets the laid down norms.

The documents/certificate may be sent immediately on receipt. In no case the application shall be delayed. Scholarship not availed during any year of study for any reason what-so-ever can not be made good in subsequent years.
Admissibility:-
The scholarship from INBA is admissible to:-
** Only first two children irrespective of number of children in family.
** Children pursuing post 10+2 recognised courses.
** Children who pass all subjects in first regular attempt.
** Children who take admission by 31 Dec of the following of passing 10+2.
Rates of Scholarship:
** Boarder Rate (Hostlers) – Rs 25,000/- per annum
** Day Scholars – Rs 15,000/- per annum
Educational Qualification:
(i)Children of Serving Officers
Must have passed 10+2 and pursuing graduation degree or equivalent Technical/ Professional Studies.
OR
Pursuing post 10+2 recognised diploma course of minimum 3 years duration or recognised post graduation diploma course.
Continuation of Scholarship:-
Those already in receipt of scholarship from INBA may continue to get the same by applying every year provided their wards score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all subjects in subsequent examinations. However in the cases of MBBS students the minimum marks required for renewal of scholarship is 50%.
Serving Sailors Sons:
Must have passed 10+2 and pursuing graduation degree or equivalent Technical/ Professional Studies.
OR
Pursuing post 10+2 diploma course of minimum 50 weeks or more duration at a Government recognised Polytechnic/ITI.
Continuation of Scholarship:- Those already in receipt of scholarship from INBA may continue to get the same by applying every year provided their wards score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all subjects in subsequent examinations. Serving Sailor`s Daughters and Serving Officer`s daughter if, she is the only child in the family:
(i) Educational Qualification:
Must have passed 10+2 and pursuing graduation/post graduation in recognised institutions.
OR
Undergoing post 10+2 Vocational courses of 50 weeks or more duration at Government recognised Polytechnic/ITI.
(ii) Minimum marks for consideration.
There are no minimum marks prescribed. The requirement is that they must pass all subjects of the examination in the first regular attempt.
