Many a people find mathematics a tough subject, just because they are not aware of proper technique to solve mathematical problems. Once a proper technique is adapted, Mathematics can be a really enjoyable subject.

To make students learn and master this technique WISDOM Educational Foundation conducts a Scholarship examination in different districts of Maharashtra.

Appearing for this exam clears the basic concepts of mathematics, develop the ability to think faster and make quicker mental calculations. The experience of appearing for this type of competitive examination also develops confidence amongst students, which helps them immensely in their future academic careers.

ELIGIBILITY :
Students of 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th standards of recognised schools can appear for this scholarship examination.

NATURE OF EXAMINATION :
The conceptual knowledge of mathematics and capacity to apply it properly will be tested in the scholarship examination.

The question paper will be of 100 marks to be solved in 100 minutes. It will be divided in two parts. Part A will contain subjective type questions aggregating to 30 marks and Part B will contain 35 objective type questions carrying 2 marks each.

Each of these 35 questions will be supplied with 4 alternate answers of which the correct one is to be found out by the student. Answers are to be written on the answersheet provided along with question paper.

SYLLABUS :
The syllabus will be of advanced level than the regular textbooks of respective standards. Books containing definitions and explanations of mathematical concepts, solved examples demonstrating methods to solve different types of mathematical problems and ample problems for practising will be made available for each standard at schools participating in the scholarship examination.

BOOKS AND STUDY MATERIAL :
1) Prescribed WISDOM Mathematics books for std. 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Rs.75 each
2) Sets of Previous question papers for std. 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Rs. 85 each
3) Model answer paper books for std. 4th, 5th, 6th,7th, 8th Rs. 100 each
4) Solution set is NOT available for 3rd Std.

MODE OF PAYMENT :
Payment to WISDOM Educational Foundation should be made through a demand draft/payable at parcheque drawn in favour of WISDOM Educational Foundation payable at Pune.

FEES :

FOR STUDENTS APPEARING THROUGH SCHOOL
When a form is sent to the institute by the school authorities, then only the student will be treated as a student appearing through school.

Anon-refundable fee of Rs. 250(Rs. Two Hundred Fifty only) will be charged for the scholarship examination, perstudent of each standard. Hall ticket, Result of final examination, passing certificate and Merit certificate (if you have appeared in the merit list) will be sent to the respective schools.

*There should be minimum 10 students appearing through school.

FOR PRIVATE STUDENTS
When a form is sent to the institute by parents or guardian , then the student will be treated as a private student

Application form not received through school will be treated as private students. Anon refundable fee of Rs. 300 (Rs. Three Hundred only) will be charged for the scholarship examination, per student of each standard.

There will be no acknowledgement given to private students on receipt of their form or payment. Short payment received will neither be informed nor registered for appearing for the examination. Such Demand drafts will neither be deposited in the bank nor despatched back to the students.

DATES :
The examination date (Maths) will be conducted on 12th February, 2017. Duly filled application forms attached herewith are to be submitted along with the above mentioned fees before 31st October 2016.

LATE FEES :
Application forms filled after the given date will carry a late fee of Rs.50 (Rs. Fifty only) till 30th November, 2016 and Rs.100 (Rs. Hundred only) till 15th December, 2016. Forms received after 15th December, 2016 will not be eligible for examinations.
