Chinmaya Education Cell Scholarship :

** The CECS is for students studying in Chinmaya Educational Institutions who are academically brilliant but are in need of financial assistance in continuing the studies.

** Financial assistance will include tuition fees, uniform, books, stationery and transport expenses of the student for one year.
** The scholarship amount will be shared by the Education Cell and the respective Vidyalaya/College. The Cell will meet 75% of the total expenses (as per the limit set by CCMTEC) and the Vidyalaya/ College will meet the balance 25%.
** The Vidyalaya/College can raise the 25% of its share by giving free-ship (not charging fees), seek the help of the local Chinmaya Mission or find a local sponsor.
** The Facilitators from each institution will ensure the smooth functioning of this scheme of the CCMT Education Cell.

Eligiblity:
** The scholarship will be awarded to two students from each Vidyalaya/College. They can be fresh students/renewal of the ones granted last year or both.
** The scholarship will be awarded to any two students from classes IV to XII of the Vidyalaya and any two students of the college.
** The students should have done well in academics scoring 80% or more in the aggregate.
** The students should have participated in co-curricular or extra curricular activities.
** Their annual family income should not exceed Rs 2, 00,000.

The students will continue to get the scholarship in subsequent years if:
a) They continue to deserve it.
b) The sponsorship/support from the Vidyalaya/College continues.

Instructions:
1. The Application Form should be complete in all respects.
2. The Principal should certify the authenticity of the student’s credentials.
3. Mark sheets attested by the Principal for the previous year must be sent. The Application Form has a separate column which asks for the marks of the student for the preceding three years and this has to be duly filled in.
4. Copies of certificates for co-curricular and extra curricular activities (only certificates of outstanding performance) attested by the Principal must be enclosed. This however is not the main criterion.
5. All documents like certificates, mark sheets, cash receipts etc should be in English. If the original is not in English, attested translation in English should be sent with the original.
6. Actual expenses for the whole academic year must be certified by the Principal and the
Correspondent / Secretary of the Vidyalaya/ College.
7. All original bills must be submitted along with the statement showing expenses.
8. It is important for the principal to send the fee structure giving break up/ details of the fee decided for the academic year 2016-2017.
9. Clear documents to prove family income must accompany the Application Form (Employer’s salary certificate / pension certificate/ income certificate or similar documents) 10. The last date for the receipt of the Application Form at the Education Cell office is 31st August 2016.
11. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered for the award of the scholarship.
12. Each application will be decided on its merits and the decision of the Education Cell shall be final.
