Scholarship Programs :
Scholarship 1 – Increasing Opportunities for Women Scholarship :
Any women who admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program at MAII/Stratford and who has demonstrated financial need and who starts their initial classes after 1 November 2013 are eligible for the Increasing Opportunities for Women Scholarship. Recipients will receive up to a 15% discount of the tuition for all courses taken pursuant to their program. Scholarships cannot be applied to courses already completed. The award amount will be based on a percentage of the remaining tuition for the term starting after announcement of the winners. The scholarship percentage will be applied to each course and not awarded in a lump sum at the beginning of the program. Scholarships apply only to tuition and do not include books or fees.
To retain the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 for all undergraduate courses and a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 for all master’s courses completed at MAII/Stratford. Should the cumulative grade point average drop below the prescribed level, the scholarship is forfeited for subsequent terms. Additionally, while the recipient may take leave, if such leave extends to two consecutive academic terms or three terms in any academic year, the scholarship will be forfeited. In other words, the recipient must complete at least three terms each academic year. The scholarship is good for courses taken in 2013 and 2014 only.
Eligibility :
All applicants must be citizens of India or Nepal. They must meet all criteria for admission to MAII/Stratford. Transfer students are eligible, so long as the above criteria are met and maintained. The amount of scholarship is based on family need as noted below :
** If family income is less than 2 lakh rupees, 25% :
** If family income is less than 6 lakh rupees, 15%;
** If family income is less than 10 lakh rupees, 10%
Application Schedule :
To be considered, complete letters of application must be received by the Dean, MAII/Stratford in accordance with the Application schedule
Application Process :
To apply for the Increasing Opportunity for Women Scholarship the individual must submit a letter of application to the Dean, Stratford University – New Delhi. With that letter, applicants must provide proof that they are citizens of India or Nepal. If there is a question of gender, it is incumbent on the applicant to provide sufficient evidence to prove her gender. Upon receipt, the application will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee (the Dean and the program chairs) for completeness and to determine if the applicant meets the scholarship requirements.
Scholarship Distribution :
An unlimited number of scholarships may be granted. Any Indian Woman entering in and starting courses at MAII/Stratford is eligible. The scholarships may be used for any of the bachelors or masters programs of MAII/Stratford. The Dean will inform the applicant by letter if they have been approved for the Increasing Opportunity for Women Scholarship. A copy of the letter will be sent to Student Accounts.
Scholarship 2 – Reward for Excellence Scholarship :
Individuals awarded a Reward for Excellence Scholarship will receive a discount of between 25% and 100% of the tuition for all courses taken pursuant to the completion of a bachelor degree or master degree from MAII/Stratford depending on academic performance and financial need (Please see the applicable table below). Scholarships cannot be applied to courses already completed. The award amount will be based on a percentage of the remaining tuition for the term starting after announcement of the winners of a particular round. The scholarship percentage will be applied to each course and not awarded in a lump sum at the beginning of the program. Scholarships apply only to tuition and do not include books or fees.
