Financial Assistance for 10th passed students who wish to continue their studies.

Application will be available at vidyaposhak.org from April 10th onwards and up to 7 days from the announcement of SSLC results.

Important :
** Students may fill online application form either prior to the announcement of results or within 7 days from the date of announcement of the results. (CBSE Students have to fill online application form within 7 days from the date of announcement of their results).

Eligibility to apply (All the below) :
** Students who have appeared for the SSLC examination for the first time in April, 2015 AND
** Who have Confidence to get minimum of A grade in SSLC. (Note : There is a separate criteria for admission to Science/Diploma courses)
** Parents of applicant should be residing in one of the following taluka’s of Karnataka,

** Davangere Davangere,Harihara,Honnali,Jagalur,Harapnalli,Chenngiri.
** Uttara Kannda Sirsi,Siddapur,Yallapur,Mundgod,Kumata,Bhatkal,Haliyal,Joida,Karwar,Honnavara,Ankola.

** Filling the application form doesn’t guarantee financial assistance from Vidya Poshak.
** Only the application submitted online will be considered. Hence, students are allowed to call nearest Vidya Poshak office to fill the online application with the help of our staff. Students may also take the assistance of nearest Vidya Poshak Volunteers and/or Facilitators.

Note :

To fill online application, phone calls will be received only between 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm and students are requested to cooperate.

** On receipt of the application, the applicant will get a system generated application number, acknowledging the receipt of the application. Please keep this number for future correspondence with Vidya Poshak. Please don’t forget to get the print out of your application with instructions.
** For any other assistance please call 0836-2747357 between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm except on Sunday and General holidays.
** This application is free of cost.
** The application is to be filled by the applicant or his/her parents or guardians only.
** Vidya Poshak’s operations depend on the availability of the volunteers for the year 2015-16. Therefore new applications will be entertained only from some taluk’s in Karnataka.
** Family income will be decided by Vidya Poshak organization by actually visiting student home’s, and is not based on merely the income certificate and other documents.
** Applicant has to cooperate with the Vidya Poshak representative whenever they visit their homes and should share the necessary information as required by Vidya Poshak. Any false information in full or part would lead to rejection of the application.
** Vidya Poshak serves only as a ‘facilitator’ between the prospective donors and promising students. Vidya Poshak uses its network and propagates on the need of the students. In spite of Vidya Poshak’s best efforts there could be a possibility that some students may not get a support from donors. Consequently, there is no time limit (within the academic year) for arranging financial assistance.
** We arrange financial assistance and not scholarship, as it is based on both income and merit.
** After Verification of the information in the application form, the students will be called for an interview in the nearest Vidya Poshak Office. The Students are required to attend at their cost on specified date and time. Later, the eligible students will be finally ‘short listed’ for getting financial assistance.
** Influencing directly or indirectly the selecting process by the applicants or on their behalf will lead to rejection of the application.
** Decision of Vidya Poshak is final and Vidya Poshak does not entertain any correspondence in this regard.Vidya Poshak has the right to modify the eligibility criteria or any related process.
** Vidya Poshak is a secular and inclusive organisation, i.e. there is no discrimination on the basis of caste or creed.
** As the communication with students is through phone/SMS, Students should not change the numbers.
