What is Reliance Foundation Scholarships?

Reliance Foundation Scholarships For UG/PG Students 2024-25 is sponsored by Reliance Foundation. 5000 Merit-cum-means undergraduate scholarships up to Rs. 2 lakhs each and 100 postgraduate scholarships for excellence up to Rs. 6 lakhs each. Students must be a resident Indian citizen. There is no age limit to apply to the scholarship. Last date of Scholarship is 6th October 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of Reliance Foundation Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholarships :
You must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to apply:
** Be a resident Indian citizen
** Passed Standard 12th with minimum 60%
** Currently enrolled in the 1st year (academic year 2024-25) in a regular full-time degree course in any stream
** Students having House Hold income < Rs. 15 Lakhs (preference given to < Rs. 2.5 Lakhs)
** Aptitude Test is mandatory

Following students are not eligible:
** Students who are in the 2nd year or higher (have started their courses from academic year 2023-24 or before)
** Students pursuing their degree through online, hybrid, remote, distance or any other non-regular modes
** Students who have passed diploma after std. 10th
** Students pursuing 2 year undergraduate degree courses
** Students who do not answer the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test

Postgraduate Scholarships:
You must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to apply:
** Be a resident Indian citizen
** Postgraduate Scholarship : First year PG Students who secured a score of 550 – 1,000 in the GATE Examination.
OR
** Students who have not attempted GATE but have scored 7.5 or above in their Undergraduate CGPA (or % normalised to CGPA)
** Eligible degree programmes – Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical/or Electronics Engg., Chemical Engg., Mechanical Engg., Renewable & New Energy, Material, Science & Engg. and Life Sciences (as per the list above).

Following students are not eligible:
** Students who are in the 2nd year of their PG programme
** Students pursuing their degree through online, remote, distance, hybrid, part-time or any other non-regular modes
** Students who have GATE Score less than 550 but have Undergraduate CGPA 7.5 or higher
** Students pursuing only Mathematics cannot apply under Mathematics & Computing
** Students who do not answer the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test

Features of Reliance Foundation Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholarships :
** Support meritorious students from all corners of the country with an undergraduate college education
** For first year students studying any stream of their choice
** Awarded on a merit-cum-means basis to meritorious students
** Up to 5,000 undergraduate scholars will be selected
** The total amount of scholarship available over the duration of the degree programme, will be up to Rs/INR 2 Lakhs
** Scholarship will go beyond financial support, with students automatically gaining networking opportunities through a strong alumni network

Postgraduate Scholarships :
** Nurturing India’s future leaders who can think big, think green, think digital for the benefit of society.
** The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships will identify and select the best and brightest students in India through a rigorous and competitive selection process.
** We welcome applicants from all socio-economic backgrounds and scholarships will be granted on the basis of merit.
** Up to 100 postgraduate scholars will be selected.
** The total amount of scholarship available over the duration of the degree programme, will be up to Rs/INR 6 Lakhs.

** 80% of the funds will be granted in advance at the start of each academic year, to use for tuition and direct academic expenses. The remaining 20% of the funds will be granted upon request to support professional development, including indirect academic and personal development expenses, including conference related expenses.

** Scholars will also benefit from additional engagement and development activities (including the chance to attend talks and workshops with leading global experts, opportunities to apply for mentoring/internships, volunteering opportunities, a strong alumni network and more), and will join a vibrant community of scholars that will be at the forefront of creating and building a new India.

Is there a family income eligibility criterion to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate scholarships?
You are eligible to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships only if your family income is equal to or less than 15 lakhs.

What are the eligible institutes?
Students from any NAAC/UGC accredited institute are eligible to apply.

Is there an age limit to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships?

There is no age limit to apply to the scholarship, provided you fulfil the registration criteria

Am I eligible to apply if I have pursued a diploma after 10th Std.?
Only students who have attempted and passed Higher Secondary (H.Sc.) 12th Std. with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Am I eligible to apply if I have pursued std. 12th abroad?
Students who have pursued Std. 12th abroad are also eligible to apply for the scholarship

What are the eligible programmes at undergraduate level?
Students pursuing any regular full-time undergraduate degree programme of three or more years can apply for the scholarship. If your degree programme is not on the list, please email us at RF.UGScholarships[AT]reliancefoundation.org and we will add your programme to the list.

I failed the registration questionnaire but I believe I am eligible. What can I do?
You must fulfil the registration criteria in order to be able to apply. There are no exceptions for passing the registration questionnaire.

Are students who are pursuing Undergraduate degree programmes outside India eligible to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships?

No. Only students pursuing full-time undergraduate degree programmes within India are eligible to apply.

Can I apply for the scholarships more than once?
No, you cannot apply for the scholarships more than once.

Do I need to have been accepted into a degree programme before I apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate scholarships?
Yes, you need to be enrolled in a regular full-time degree programme, to apply for the scholarship.

I am a second-year student, can I apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships?
No, students have to be studying in first year of the academic year 2024-25 to apply for the scholarship.

Can married students apply?
