What is Delhi Higher & Technical Education Support Scheme?
“Delhi Higher & Technical Education Support Scheme” Scholarship 2024-25 is sponsored by The Delhi Higher Education Aid Trust. To provide financial support to meritorious and financially weaker sections of society in realizing their dreams of pursuing higher education. The scheme is open to all the candidates of Delhi who are resident of Delhi and have passed Class-XII from recognized Delhi Schools. Last Date of Scholarship is 31st August 2024.
Objective of Delhi Higher & Technical Education Support Scheme
** Delhi Government has decided to support the education of meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections/disadvantaged groups of the society.
** Many meritorious students from the section of society find it hard to pay their fee while pursuing higher studies.
** In order to ensure that no meritorious student is deprived of quality higher education, revision in existing “Merit-Cum-Means Income Linked Financial Assistance Scheme” is proposed for immediate implementation for all admissions w.e.f. academic year 2024-25 under the aegis of “The Delhi Higher Education Aid Trust.”
** To provide financial support to meritorious and financially weaker sections of society in realizing their dreams of pursuing higher education.
Eligibility Criteria of Delhi Higher & Technical Education Support Scheme
The scheme is open to all the candidates of Delhi i.e., who are bonafide resident of Delhi and have passed Class-XII from recognized Delhi Schools and who fulfil the eligibility criteria under the scheme.
1. The student should have been enrolled for under-graduate programme in any of the Delhi State Public University/Colleges/Institutions located in Delhi.
2. The student should fulfil the income/economic and academic performance criteria and the student’s family should hold a valid family income certificate issued by the SDM/Competent Authority, GNCTD and should be resident of Delhi.
3. The students who are having minimum 75% marks in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent for scholarship during first year and minimum 75% marks in pursuing under-graduate course for subsequent years.
4. Pursuing regular degree courses and NOT correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma courses.
5. NOT Availing benefit of any other scholarship schemes.
6. Students having Gross Family Income up to 3 lakh per annum
How to Apply for Delhi Higher & Technical Education Support Scheme?
** All the students are advised to apply on website https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in and submit a copy of following self-attested documents
Relevant Documents :
1. Copy of online generated application
2. Mark sheets of 12th for the 1st year student only
3. Mark sheets of previous both semesters for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year
4. Caste certificate (if applicable)
5. Income certificate issued by the SDM/Competent Authority
6. Copy of Aadhaar Card of the parent(s) and student
7. Cancelled Cheque/Passbook (Account must be in name of student and should be major account)
8. Fee Receipt for Academic Year 2024-25
9. Format “A” Declaration by the student, generated during the application Students are advised to read the guidelines carefully before submission of the application (Guidelines are attached with this letter).
