Shoolini University PhD Scholarship
Shoolini University is pleased to announce various scholarships for PhD students of academic year 2020-21.
These scholarships are designed in a manner to involve and benefit maximum number of students during their PhD Program at Shoolini University.
NET Qualified Students
NET qualified candidates can be appointed as Assistant Professor/ Teaching Associate/ Research Associate on a fixed salary of 21,600/- for three years only. Fee towards the PhD program will be payable as per the University rules.
The selection process will be through an interview. Candidates are required to undertake either teaching load (minimum 15 hours/ week) or publish a minimum four research papers every year (beyond their PhD requirements). Non-fulfiment will lead to discontinuation of appointment.
In case there is consistent history of producing research papers with impact factor beyond five, minimum research papers requirement can be reduced on a case-to-case basis.
Assistant Professor/ Teaching Associate
Multiple university funded scholarships (between Rs.18,000/- to 21,600/- for three years only) for PhD candidates with past teaching experience and exceptional teaching abilities are available.
Fee towards the PhD program will be payable as per University rules. Such candidates must undertake a teaching load of minimum 10 hours/ week and produce a minimum of two research papers (beyond their PhD requirements).
Assistant Professor/ Research Fellow
Multiple scholarships are available through extra-mural projects or through university funds for PhD students (between Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 21,600/- for three years only) with demonstrated research potential in the past.
Fees towards the PhD program will be payable as per University rules. Research fellows will be expected to produce four-six research papers in a year with impact factor of 2 and Research fellows are required to publish a minimum of four research papers every year (beyond their PhD requirements).
Non-fulfiment will lead to discontinuation of fellowship. Research fellows are expected to stay in university residential premises for their research work.
Existing Shoolini Students/ Alumni
Selection into Shoolini’s PhD programs and scholarships will be based on a written test and interview. Students will apply through standard application process and a scholarship equivalent to 100% of the second semester tuition fee will be awarded to selected
Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellows
This is an open competitive scholarship to any external/internal student selected for a PhD program of the University. The VC fellows will be selected by a Committee chaired by the Vice They will have to pay full fee towards the PhD program as per University rules.
The selected candidates will be paid scholarship amount of Rs 30,000 per semester for 2nd and 3rd Year only. VC’s Research Fellows are required to publish a minimum two research papers every year (beyond their PhD requirements).
Publication Incentives
Students (not applicable to Assistant Professors/ Teaching Associate/ Research Fellow) admitted in PhD program can avail coupons for their research publications as per below.
These coupons can be availed after publishing research/ review papers in Scopus listed journals only.
For all papers published during their PhD thesis :

Students publishing more than three papers as part of their PhD are eligible for additional coupons as per the following criteria

Important Notes :
** PhD candidates must pay the fee as per rules specified by the University from time to time.
** PhD candidates can avail only one of the above (from point 1 to point 5) benefits/ scholarships during the first three years of the PhD program.
** Specifically for point 6, one research paper will only be counted once and for one student. The student will need to provide a verification note from their PhD In papers with more than one author, the award money will be split equally between all the student authors.
** As per rule, PhD students will not pay fee for 7th and 8th semester, but thereafter fee will be charged for the balance of the semesters.
** The above circular is applicable for the year 2021 and the academic council reserves the right to modify this without any notice.
