To promote merit among students, MERIT SEARCH EXAM is being conducted since last eighteen years, through which students are awarded with Merit Certificates & Scholarship.

Applications are invited for MERIT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2016. Students of any Govt. or Private School/College studying between Classes / Std. 5th to 10+2 may apply.
Selection : on the basis of a written test.
Examination Centres : In different District towns of Bihar, Jharkhand & Uttar Pradesh
Medium of Examination : English / Hindi
Date of Examination : 10th April 2016 QUALIFYING MARKS : 60%
Examination :
There are 4 sections in a composite paper carrying 25 marks each
(1) General Knowledge
(2) General Science
(3) Mathematics
(4) Literature : (Hindi or English). Questions are Objective type, except
Literature, which is Subjective & Compulsory Qualifying section.
Registration Fee : Rs. 300/-
Prospectus : Rs. 50/-
Old Questions : Previous ten years questions may be obtained on payment of ` 20/- per year per Class.

Important Rules :
i. Admit Card is available on Web-Site, prior 15 days of Examination
ii. Result is announced after 90 days of Exam. on web-site.
iii. Provision to get Photocopy of Answer-sheet after Result.
iv. Students getting Scholarship for 2 consecutive years, automatically get it in the 3rd year.
v. Dependents of any Employee/Member of the Council are debarred to apply.
vi. Payment of Scholarship is made only through Online/Cheque/Bank Draft/M.O.
vii. All disputes are subject to Patna Jurisdiction only.

It will be objective for first three sections and last will be subjective.
NEC must give the name of cities where the examination center are proposed.
