Applications are invited for “NHPC FELLOWSHIP SCHEME FOR ASSAM-2015” for Students of Assam domicile only with preference to students from Dhemaji and North Lakhimpur Districts.

The scholarship will be awarded strictly on merit cum income basis subject to receipt of duly filled Application Form along with relevant supporting documents.
Eligibility Criteria:
a. The ‘NHPC FELLOWSHIP SCHEME FOR ASSAM-2015’ is admissible for students of Assam domicile only.
b. Students persuing for full time/ regular courses (not correspondence/ distance/ online mode) in Schools/ colleges/ university/ Institution recognized by AICTE/ State Education Board/ State Technical Education Boards/ICSE/ISE/ CBSE are eligible to apply.
c. Overall grade point average (OGPA/ CGPA scale of grading system) shall be equivalent to 50% marks.
d. Gross Annual income of the family of the candidate from all sources during a financial year should not be more than Rs 2.0 lakhs. However, in case of non-availability of students within the stipulated income ceiling, the income ceiling may be relaxed up to Rs 4.0 Lakhs.
e. The candidate should not be availing or intend to avail any other financial assistance / scholarship from any other source. However, in case of students getting fee waiver/ reimbursement of tuition fees from State Government are eligible for applying for the Scholarships
Reservations:
a. Reservation against quota SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWDs shall be regulated as per Government guidelines.
b. 50% scholarships shall be reserved for the students from North lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts. For any shortfall in this category, the same shall be made available to candidates from other districts of Assam.
c. 50% scholarships shall be reserved for girls students only. For any shortfall in this category, the same shall be made available to boys students.
d. Sons / Daughters of NHPC Employee / its Joint Venture are not eligible to apply
Application:
a. The candidate fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may submit their application form in the prescribed ‘Application Format’ which can be downloaded from NHPC’s website nhpcindia.com, commencing from 16.11.2015 to 15.12.2015.
b. Complete application with all the supporting documents as mentioned in the application form duly certified and verified by their Head / Principal / Head of the Institute / Dean of the Institute / College / University should reach the designated office of NHPC as per the details given in the application format.
c. Duly competed application form along with required documents, in a sealed envelop, should be sent by Speed Post or Registered Post only at the address given below ON or BEFORE 31.12.2015.

General Information & Conditions:
a. NHPC reserves the right to alter, modify or withdraw the Scholarship scheme as considered necessary without any notice.
b. Decision of the company with regard to selection will be final. No correspondence on the selection process shall be entertained.
c. The award of the scholarship shall not confer any right of employment on the beneficiary with NHPC Limited or its Joint Ventures.
d. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Dhemaji , Assam.
e. Applications not in the prescribed format or received after the closing date or not forwarded through the Head of the Institution with complete supporting documents are liable to be rejected.
f. If the detail provided in the application form is found to be incorrect & does not match with the submitted documents, the application of such applicants shall be summarily rejected and no correspondence shall be made / entertained in this regard.

I want NHPC Scholarship Merit List for the session 2016-17.
Now I am bsc last year in Dhemaji college. Can I applying for this scholarship?
I have heard a news that some other party is interfering in the process of giving the scholarship. Please don't allow any other to interfere and please give the scholarship amount in the account of the eligible candidates and not through other.
