Scholarship For Engineering Students:

The novel initiative of scholarship to underprivileged Engineering students was introduced in 2009 by Schneider Electric India Foundation. The aim of this initiative is…”To help them shape their dreams by providing scholarships to deserving candidates in the field of Engineering”.The second year Engineering students only are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship initiative is being carried out for the last three consecutive years and Schneider Electric India Foundation is proud to have supported 23 Engineering students of twelve registered colleges across India.

Scholarship Eligibility:

Criteria for Finalization of scholarship:
Documents to be verified:
** Minimum marks in SSLC&PUC: 65%
** Minimum marks BE Sem 1 &2: 70%
** Fee receipt of 2nd year
** Annual Income certified < 2.5 Lakhs ( Income relaxed upto < 4 Lakhs for female candidates for providing more opportunity as very few applicants
** Socio/economic background

Criteria for selection of candidates:

** Students per college to be shortlisted for further interview process by SPOCs (Ravi Moorthy & CSR Team to shortlist applicants from the applications received by colleges)
** Students should produced the above listed documents with percentage required. (Documents to be verified by CSR Team)
** Students should be willing to do internship with Schneider Electric
** They should be interested to take up a career with Schneider Electric ( during the interview try to understand the applicants attitude towards internship and their enthusiasm to take up a career with SE. However no commitment in this regard is made )
** They should be from economically poor background ( SPOC to check on this so that the most deserving student is helped )
** To consider students who have taken loan to pursue their degree ( Refer the applicant data and ensure the information about loan taken is true)
** One student per college to be selected. (Can consider more than one depending on the available budget.) ( shortlisted by the HR SPOC but kindly do not reveal this to the college)

What We Do:
1. Invite applications from students of registered colleges

2. Create applicant data on receiving the hard copies of required documents

3. Verify the following:
** Filled in application
** Mark list of SSLC,PUC, Eng Sem 1 & Sem 2
** Fee receipt of 2nd year
** Annual Income certified / form 16

4. Shortlist 4 applicants for face 2 face interview

5.Shortlist one deserving applicant for the prestigious Scholarship Based on the following criteria

** Should produce the Fee paid receipt of 2nd year Engineering
** Annual Income certified: 2.5 Lakhs for male applicants and upto 4 lakhs for female applicants (Income relaxed for female candidates forproviding more opportunity)
** Consider the socio economic background
** One student per college to be selected.

Top 12 colleges shortlisted for Schneider Electric India Foundation sponsored scholarship Program for the year 2011-12. Jadavpur University, Kolkata & MNNIT, Allahabad benefited through this initiative for batch1 (2009-10) only.
