Scholarship:
IDMT and its strategic partners have constituted 3 scholarships for the New Media Technologies programs in the name of Shri Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das (Founder Samaja), Shri Binode Kanungo (Founder Jnanmandal – First Odia Encyclopedia) and Smt. Rama Devi Choudhury (Freedom Fighter and symbol of “Universal Motherhood”).
Funding:
These programs are partially funded by a group of NROs from USA, Japan, Switzerland and Singapore in the form of scholarship.
SUMGD Shri Utkal Mani Gopabandhu Das Scholarship:
3 students will be awarded SUMGD scholarship. Under this scholarship program up to 25% of program fee (1st 25%, 2nd 20% and 3rd 15%) will be waived. Students awarded with SUMGD scholarship will have to work with a registered media organization of Odisha for a period of 1 year
SBK Shri Binode Kanungo Scholarship:
3 students will be awarded SBK scholarship. Under this scholarship program up to 20% of program fee (1st 20%, 2nd 15% and 3rd 10%) will be waived. Students awarded with SBK scholarship will have to work with a registered media organization of Odisha for a period of 1 year.
SRDC Smt. Rama Devi Choudhury Scholarship:
3 students (only Female) will be awarded SRDC scholarship. Under this scholarship program up to 25% of program fee (1st 25%, 2nd 20% and 3rd 15%) will be waived. Students awarded with SRDC scholarship will have to work with a registered media organization of Odisha for a period of 1 year.
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
** The family income of the candidate must be less than Rs 50000.00 (Fifty Thousand) per annum.
** The candidate must be 18 years of age at the time of making the application.
** Minimum Educational Qualification is Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks.
** 50% seats are reserved for General Candidates, 40% seats are reserved for quota & minority communities of Odisha and 10% seats are reserved for students of Odisha origin and residing in other states of India and Abroad.
** Scholarship will be given only on the Program fees.
** After completion of the programs the candidates must be willing to work for any Institute/Organization incorporated/registered in Odisha for a minimum period of 1 year.
** The scholarship committee’s decision is final and binding.
** Depending on the marks obtained, family income and recommendation letter the scholarships will be granted on program fee ranging from 10% to 25%.
** Placement guarantee will be given to students securing 85% and above marks in semesters with 90% attendance.

Selection For Scholarship:
All students applying for scholarships under various schemes are required to apply in a prescribed application form and submit it with required documents and recommendation letters within 15 days of the advertisement. Selections will be made by our sponsors and strategic partners; deserving students will be duly intimated
