Pre-matric & Post-matric Scholarships For EBC Students 2015-16 :

Applications on a prescribed form are invited from students of the college having annual family income less than Rs. 1.00 lacs, belonging to the Economically Backward Classes (EBCs) of Kashmir Province who are not covered under any category i.e SC/ST/OBC/PCP/Pahari , for grant of scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. The application forms can be obtained from and submitted to Prof. Shakti Prakash Department of Computer Application on or before August 22, 2015 on every working days after 2.30 P.M.

Govt. Degree College Boys Anantnag, the premier educational Institute of South Kashmir is one of the biggest college of J&K state. It was established in 1950 as an intermediate college in the heart of Anantnag town. Since then it has flourished and distinguished itself as one of the quality education centers of the valley in the field of higher Education. During its existence of more than fifty years it has tirelessly produced a vast human resource serving the state in various capacities in administration.Thus it has been nursing and nourishing the inherent talent of the students of entire south Kashmir and parts of Doda & Udhampur districts.Under the able state wardship of Prof. S.N Thusoo, its founder principal, the college was shifted to its present location which was a rest house of erstwhile Maharaja of the state.
