PhD Research Fellowship 2015-16:
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Full-time Institute sponsored PhD research fellowship in various disciplines and categories.
Total No. of Fellowship:
Institute Fellowship 11 full time (Reservation is applicable as per the norms of Government of India.)
The fellowships are available in the following departments:
1. Computer Science Engineering & 02
2. Electrical Engineering 01
3. Mathematics 04
4. Physics 02
5. Chemistry 02*
One post is reserved for the SERB project entitled ‘‘Design and Synthesis of Carbohydrate Based Sensors for Efficient Determination of Heavy Metal Ions’’ under the guidance of Dr. Ananta Kumar Atta, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Chemistry
Eligibility:
1. M. Tech./ M.E.in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate in the M.E./ M. Tech. level from a recognized technical institute or university.
2. B. Tech/ B.E. in relevant discipline with at least 7.0 CGPA or 65 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university.
3. M. Sc. in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university.
5. The minimum CGPA/marks to be relaxed by 0.5 CGPA or 5 percent in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories.
6. GATE / CSIR-UGC NET / DBT Qualified or other admission tests conducted by Government of India agencies for admission to PhD programme is mandatory as per MHRD norm for candidates not having M. Tech./ M.E. degree.
7. For admission to Engineering and Science disciplines (except Life Science), a candidate should have passed Mathematics in +2 Science.
8. Science students admitted to Ph.D. programme in Engineering need Mathematics in +3 level.

The filled up application form along with self-attested photo copies of marksheets, degree certificates, community certificates, and the necessary enclosures along with anon-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/PH) by means of Demand Draftdrawn not earlier than 25-07-2015, in favor of “The Director, National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh” payable at SBI, Nirjuli (SBIN0009535), should reach to „Dean (Research & Consultancy); Research & Development Cell, National Institute Technology Arunachal Pradesh 791112, Yupia, ArunachalPradesh, India? on or before 25-08-2015 in a sealed cover super-scribing “Application for Ph.D. Programme (with fellowship), 2015-16 in Department of ___________________________________”. Applications without the superscript shall not be accepted. If one desires to apply to more than one department, separate applications need to be sent. Applications reaching after the due date shall not be accepted.
