Sanskrit Merit Scholarship
On-line applications are invited from students for the award of scholarship for the year 2018-19 under the scheme for Development of Sanskrit Education

Who Can Apply?
Student must have obtained the following percentage of marks or equivalent grade in Sanskrit/ Pali/Prakrit and in aggregate (all subjects) in the required qualifying examination
** General Category – 60%
** Other backward Category – 55%
** S.C/S.T/Divine Body Category – 50%
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for the Merit Scholarship 2018-19.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of ashtritya Sanskrit Sansthan provided above and click on the Online Application link
Step 2 : Read the Guidelines carefully and click on “Campus / Institution / College / School Registration Form” to register your educational institutions. without registration your institution name will not be displayed in scholarship forms.
Step 3 : The details of registered institutions will be activated by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan after due verification within a week of registration.
Step 4 : The name of the activated institutions will appear in the drop-down menu of the students’ Scholarship On-line Application.
If your institution is activated then the institution name will be displayed in the drop-down menu and and confirmation of the activation will be sent to the concerned institution email.
Once your institution is activated then the details can’t be modified. For modification please click on the “Edit Campus / Institution / College / School Registration Form” link.
Step 5 : After activation of the relevant institution, student can login and apply for scholarship.
Step 6 : If you are new user then click on the Register link in the Login page and fill the required details for registration.
Note :
The Institutions/Schools/College/University who have already Registered during the academic session 2017-2018 there is no requirement of Registration.

Required Documents
The following scanned documents need to be uploaded in the appropriate place while submitting the application
** The relevant mark-sheet.
** The bank pass-book details where the applicant has an account in his/her name ( the first page of the passbook where details along with the photograph is available)
** Aadhar card of the applicant.
** Caste/Category certificate of reserved category (S.C/S.T/O.B.C/Divine Body(P.H.) from the appropriate authority in the name of the applicant.
Note : Bank account should be linked with Aadhar number.

Terms & Conditions
** The Scholarship will of the concerned Academic year tenable for one Academic year and The Scholarship for the Ph.D/Vidyavaridhi will be tenable for two full years
** The Scholarship amount will be payable from the 1st July of every academic year. The amount will be released to the account of student(s) directly through E-transfer/NEFT and an intimation letter will be sent through E-mail or By post to the concerned Vidyalaya /institution/University for information

** Every student will be required to submit application form in the prescribed proforma indicating interalia
(i) He/She is pursuing a course of study with Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a regular student for which he/she has applied for the Scholarship.
(ii) He/She is not in receipt of any other Scholarship or Stipend from any other source.
(iii) He/She is not employed anywhere.
(iv) If the student is awarded Scholarship from any other source and/or is employed he/she will immediately inform the Sansthan through proper channel.
** The student will be considered for scholarship, if he/she has undergone a course of not less than one year or two semesters in Sanskrit.
** In the column “State” as mentioned in the on-line application, the applicant is required to indicate the name of the State where he is studying.
