Scholarships:
Prof. Harpreet Kaur merit Scholarship for the Post-Graduate students of History of Govt. Mohindra college, Patiala has been instituted to attract students of merit for post graduate studies in the subject of History in Govt. Mohindra college; Patiala and as an incentive to achieve excellence.
Prof. Harpreet Kaur remained associated with the teaching of Post-Graduate classes of History in Govt. Mohindra college. Patiala for 26 years (1969-1995). She is one of the Settlers and Trustees.
Who qualifies for the award of scholarship?:
** Merit scholarship of Rs. 5000/- (subject to upward revision) for the academic year shall be awarded on the basis of result of University examination, every year.
** Students of the previous and final year of post-graduate class of History of Govt. Mohindra college, Patiala shall be considered for the award of scholarship.
** Students of previous year shall be considered for the award of scholarship, on the basis of University result of Hons. School of History (and if Hons. School of History cease to exist, then B.A. three years course), who secure not less than 60 % marks in the subject of History and not less than 55 % of aggregate marks.
** Students of Final year class shall be considered for the award of scholarship on the basis of their University result of previous year, who secure not less than 55 % marks.
** If more than one student qualifies for the award of scholarship, then student who has secured more marks in the subject of History shall get precedence.
** If no student qualifies for the award of scholarship in any academic year, then scholarship shall not be awarded during that year.

** Those students who qualify for the award of scholarship may apply to the Principal Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala through Head of the History Department.

S. Dyal Singh Memorial Scholarship:
Nirvair Singh, one of the Settlers of the Trust and Trustees has instituted this scholarship in the memory of his father, who served Cantt. Board High School, Jalandhar Cantt. (Punlab) India for 15 years (1942 -1956) and retired as Headmaster (1954 – 1956).
Scholrship of Rs.2,000/ – 2,500/ shall be given to a deserving student of class XI / XII; studying Science as one of the subjects in Cantt. Board Sr. Secondary School Jalandhar Cantt.
Who qualifies for the award of Scholarship?:
Scholarship of Rs.2000/- shall be awarded to a deserving student of XI class studying Science as one of the subject; who needs financial support for pursuing studies and with reference to his / her academic result of X class.
Whom to apply?:
Students interested for the award of Scholarship shall apply to the Principal on a prescribed format , justifying their requitrment.

Lecturer in the subject of Physics. – Member
Lecturer in the subject of Chemistry. – Member
If the student shows improvement in academic results in XI clas, amount of scholarship in XII class will be increased by Rs.500/-.
