Question : Why is registration necessary?
Registration is done to authenticate the users. This is one-time job and enables the users to apply for UGC schemes online.

Question : Who can register?
Colleges/Universities covered under section 2(f) and 12B of UGC Act can register.
Question : How do I register?
Click New User tab on the homepage and fill up registration form. Please note that your registration is required to be approved by UGC authority. You cannot login until your registration is approved.
Question : What documents are required for registration?
The copies of following documents are required to be uploaded.
(i) 2(f) letter
(ii) 12B letter
(iii) Authority letter
(iv) Grant-in-aid bill issued by State Govt. in case of colleges and Govt. notification in case of universities
Question : How do I register if my College/University name does not appear in the list
If you do not find your college/university name in the list, you can click at the hyperlink and fill up the details. On verification, UGC administrator will add this name in the list. Once your college/university name appears in the list, you can submit the registration form.
Question : I have submitted my registration form successfully but I am not able to login Your college/university registration is required to be approved by UGC authority.
You cannot login until your registration is approved.
Question : How will I get to know if my registration has been approved?
Once your registration is approved, you will get SMS/email on your Registered Mobile Number/ Email id.
Question : Whom should I contact for approval of my registration?
You may write email to contact.ugc@nic.in in case there is substantial delay
Question : What should I do if registration is not approved?
If your registration is deleted/rejected by the UGC authority due to discrepancies in the registration details, you will get SMS/email on your registered Mobile number/Email id. You will be required to take necessary action as per the details given in the email.
Question : My college/University is covered under section 2(f) and 12B of UGC act but I forgot to upload the necessary certificate at the time of registration. Can I mail it to you now?
In such cases, you should not email the documents as nobody on your behalf can upload the documents required for registration.
Question : What is my User-id and Password?
Your AISHE code is your User-id and password is what you have entered at the time of registration.
Question : I have forgotten my user-id/password. How can I retrieve?
Click “Forgot Login details” on the homepage.
Question : How can I change my password
Login with user credentials. Click “Setting” on top of the page and click ?Change password?
Question : Who can apply for UGC schemes online
All 2(f) and 12B colleges/universities registered with eSchemes portal can apply for UGC schemes online.
Question : How can I apply for UGC schemes online
Please ensure you are registered with eSchemes portal. Login by entering the valid userid/password. List of schemes appears. Click Apply and fill up the application form. For details, please refer to the user manual which is also available online.
Question : What type of documents can be uploaded online?
All attachments must be in pdf format
Question : How can I print the proposal I have submitted online
Login by entering valid userid/password. Click Schemes->View Applied schemes->select scheme name->Submit->view->print the application after downloading pdf file.
Question : How will I get to know the status of my proposal?
Click Schemes->View Applied schemes->select scheme name->Submit->Status is displayed
Question : How can I update my Institution profile and Bank details?
Login by entering valid userid/password. Click ->Institute profile->University/College profile make changes and click submit.
Question : How often should I update my Institution profile and bank details?
Whenever there is a change in your profile/bank details.
Question : Do I have to submit the Utilization Certificate online?
Yes, you will be required to upload the utilization certificate online.
Question : Who can apply for Individual schemes like Travel Grant, Faculty Development Programme or Minor Research Project etc.
Teachers, Librarians, Vice-Chancellors and UGC officials. For eligibility and other details , please refer to the user manual.
Question : How can I apply for Individual schemes?
College/University/UGC nodal officer will create applicant id for the applicants. With this applicant id, applicant will generate OTP which will be sent to his mobile number/email id. With this OTP, applicant will login and apply online.
Question : I intend to apply for individual schemes but OTP is not being generated
OTP is sent by the system to the Registered Mobile Number(RMN) of the applicant. Please ensure you are using RMN. Also please ensure you have entered the correct applicant id.

I have selected for Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority in Year 2017-18. My register number is 2017-18-MANF-2017-18-TAM-86789. How can I get the user ID and Password, how can I upload my document, from which website I can upload, but I am not able to login my college/university registration is required to be approved by UGC authority. How can I get college User ID and password?
New user registration fails because Captcha does not appear on the screen.
