The revised scholarship in the form of Tuition Fee Concession will be awarded to the meritorious students at the time of admission and subsequent years.
At the Time of Admission:
UG Courses :
The scholarship will be admissible to students of UG courses (except MBBS, BDS and BAMS) on the basis of marks obtained as under (PCB/M with English as one of the subject or best of Four subjects with English as one of the subject, subsidiary subjects will not be counted)
(a) 95% and above : 100%
(b) 90% and above but below 94.99% : 60%
(c) 70% and above but below 89.99% : 40%
(d) 50% and above but below 69.99% : 25%
The scholarship for the student of lateral entry will also be admissible as per the above criteria. To ascertained their eligibility, the aggregate marks will be considered.
PG Courses :
For PG Courses, the scholarship will be given in the Faculties of Commerce & Management, Behavioural Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, Mass Communication & Media Technology, Education, Law, Hotel & Tourism Management and Physical Sciences on the basis of marks of UG Class as under :
(a) 75% and above : 35%
(b) 70% and above but below 74.99% : 25%
(c) 65% and above but below 69.99% : 20%
The scholarship will not be applicable for the students of M. Tech., MCA, M. Sc. courses under Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Faculty of Physical Sciences. However, the students who will assist the teaching staff in their academic work will be paid Rs. 6000/- per month as stipend.
Further, the scholarship will not be applicable for the Ph. D. scholars. However, the Ph. D. scholars who will join the University as regular scholar and assist the teaching staff in their academic work, will be paid Rs. 10000/- per month as stipend.
Subsequent Years :
The scholarship in the form of Tuition Fee Concession in subsequent years shall be based on the students’ performance in the semester/annual examinations as the case may be.
UG Courses: (except MBBS, BDS and BAMS)
(a) 90% and above : 50%
(b) 80% and above but below 89.99% : 25%
(c) 70% and above but below 79.99% : 20%
PG Courses :
(a) 75% and above : 25%
(b) 70% and above but below 74.99% : 20%
(c) 65% and above but below 69.99% : 10%
For continuation of scholarship in subsequent years, the student shall have to meet the following conditions :
(a) He/she should have passed in all the subjects in first attempt itself.
(b) Should have 75% attendance in all subjects of the course including practical (wherever applicable).
(c) Student is not involved in an act of indiscipline, ragging, eve teasing etc.
(d) Should have paid the fees of the course.
(e) Should not be receiving any other scholarship from any other Govt./Govt. organization/Institute.
Note : The students will have to apply within one month of the declaration of their result.
