Shr. D.D. Kapoor Scholarship :
1. There shall be a scholarship known as “Shri D.D. Kapoor Scholarship ‘ of the value of 100/- p.m.* to be awarded out of the annual income accruring from the endowment fund of 13,900/- received from Shri W. P. Khullar, Past District Governor, Lions International having its office at 4, 68, Sadar Bazar, Delhi.

2. The Scholarship shall be awarded to meritorious and needy students whose parents income including his/her own income does not exceed to the amount from where it starts attracting income tax, and who joins the first-year of the B.A. (Hons.) course in Economics in this University.
3. The Scholarship shall be tenable for a period of three years, renewable yearly on the basis of satisfactory performance of the awardee.
a. No student shall be eligible for the award of this scholarship if he/she already holds a scholarship awarded by Delhi University or any other University or the Central Government, or any State Government or Private Body, other than Freeship.
b. In case any scholar accepts any other scholarship/financial assistance/ salary from any other source, he/she shall be required to refund the amount received by him/her on this account from the date he/she, accepts the other Scholarship/financial assistance.
5. If it should appear at any time during the tenure of the award that the scholar has failed to make satisfactory progress or has been found guilty of gross misconduct or has been irregular in attendance, he/she shall, after the due warning, in Writing, be reported by the Principal/Head of the Institution/Department to the Academic Council which may reduce, suspend or withdraw the Scholarship.
6. The Scholarship shall be awarded by the Academic Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee Constituted as allows
1. The Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences (Chairman)
2. The Head, Department of Economics
3. One or more Senior member (s) from the Department of Economics (to be nominated by the Head of the Department of Economics).
7. Applications for the scholarship, in the prescribed form obtainable from the office of the Registrar (Scholarship Cell) should reach the Registrar, University of Delhi, Delhi – 07., through the Principal/Head of the institution concerned by the date mentioned in the notification issued by the Registrar, in this behalf.
8. The payment of the scholarship amount shall be made to the scholar through the Principal of the College/Head of the Department from may each year on presentation of bill and a certificate to the effect that during the period covered in the bill, the scholar was not in receipt of any other scholarship/financial assistance from any other source.
9. The unutilized amount in any year shall be added to the Corpus of the endowment fund.
10. The scholarship shall be awarded after a period of three years.
Note:
“The above scholarship has since been converted to one time book grant(SC(scholarship) meeting dated 28.09.2007.
“The value of the book grant be at the present accrued annual income on such endowment fund (SC(scholarship) meeting dated 27.01.2004.}
