Introduction :
Engineers India is a premier design and Engineering Consultancy Organization with capability in design and implementation of mega projects in varied areas such as oil refineries, petrochemicals, chemicals, oil and gas processing, fertilizers, power plants, non-ferrous metallurgical plants, offshore platforms, cross country pipelines, etc., with headquarters at New Delhi and a network of project sites and Offices in various parts of India and abroad.

Engineers India Limited is committed to operate its core business in a socially responsible way. As a socially responsible organization, EIL aims to assist socially and economically weaker segments of society to overcome hardship and impoverishment. To fulfill this objective, Engineers India Limited has devised the Scholarship Scheme whereby financial assistance is offered to meritorious and deserving SC and ST students.

Objective :
The objective of this scheme is to award Engineers India Limited (EIL) scholarships to meritorious and deserving SC & ST students pursuing full-time undergraduate engineering course at the Institutes/Colleges which are duly recognized by AICTE and/or from University/Deemed University duly recognized by UGC,

Value & Duration of EL Scholarships :
Value of each EIL scholarship will be Rs.3000/- per month. The duration of EIL Scholarship shall be for the period of the course.

The scholarship shall be payable for all the 12 months in a year, commencing from the 1st year of the study based on the marks scored in Class XII/Diploma in Engineering.

The scheme shall be continued during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of study, based on marks scored in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of study respectively. –

Eligiblity For Award :
A. Ell scholarships shall be awarded to meritorious and deserving SC & ST students (SC-10 nos. & ST-5 nos.) pursuing full-time undergraduate engineering programmes in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, industrial, Chemical or instrumentation engineering disciplines. 7 nos. of the Scholarships (SC- 5 nos. & ST- 2 nos.) shall be reserved for girl students.

B. Gross Annual income from all sources of the parents/guardian of the selected candidate shall not exceed Rs. 3,00,000/-.
C. A candidate in receipt of any other financial aid/ stipend from any other source whatsoever shall not be eligible for the ELScholarship.
D. Selections shall be made on the basis of performance in Class XII/Diploma in Engineering. Candidate should have secured 55% or equivalent CGPA/CPI in aggregate in Class XII/Diploma in Engineering

E. Methodology to decide merit order of students in case of tie of marks in Class XII/Diploma in Engineering is as given below:
(i) Students having lower parents/guardian annual income
(ii) Marks obtained in the preceding examination i.e. Class X
(iii) Older in age

F. The following documents would be required for award of scholarship:
(i) Duly completed Proforma at ANNEXURE-1.
(ii) Mark-sheet of the student, as a proof of successful completion of Class XII/Diploma in Engineering COUSE.
(iii) Income certificate issued by the prescribed authority, showing total income of the parents/ guardian per annum from all sources, List of prescribed authorities for issue of income Certificate is mentioned in Annexure-l.
(iv) Caste Certificate from prescribed Authority, in the prescribed format of the certificate. List of prescribed authorities to issue SC/ST Certificate is mentioned in Annexure -ll.

Continuance of Award :
Award of scholarship for 2nd year onwards shall be strictly subject to continuous satisfactory performance and good conduct. The scholarship shall be renewed every year from 2nd year till the completion of course. The renewal/continuation of scholarship will depend on the promotion to the next semester/session/year.

Candidates who fail to pass the semester or annual examination in prescribed duration of course or indulge in any activity amounting to misconduct will be disqualified for further scholarship. Recommendations in this regard to EL from the Appropriate Authority of the Institute/College shall be final.

Commencement of the Scholarship:
This is an ongoing scheme and for each academic session, the scholarship shall be effective from start of session,

Mode of Payment:
All payments on account of EL scholarship shall be made through electronic transfer to the concerned candidates. In this regard, shortlisted candidates shall be intimated to furnish requisite details.
