Pre Matric Scholarship To Minority Students :
In Tamilnadu, Applications are invited from the Government/recognized/private schools/institutions for providing scholarships to the minority communities (Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis & Jains) students studying in 1st to 10th classes under Pre-Matric Scholarship scheme.

Students of classes 9th to 10th will apply online in the dedicated scholarship portal under URL: scholarships.gov.in.
No offline application will be accepted for students classes 9th & 10th.
Eligibility conditions to apply:
a) Student who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
b) Annual income from all sources of the students’ parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. One Lac.
c) Student obtaining benefits under this scheme will not be allowed to avail of any other benefit under any other scheme for pursuing the same course.
d) Scholarship will not be given to more than two students in a family.
How to apply online (9th to 10th Students):
1. Eligible students can apply online on the website scholarships.gov.in.
2. Students will forward their applications online to the Institutions and will also take a printout. This printout along with all requisite documents will be submitted to the concerned institutions.

I applied yesterday for 10th student. Till last upload also I had completed. But taluk/area is not choosing any option so its not submitting. If the website doing mistakes full effort was wasted. We have to do it from beginning. In beginning also when we are putting user id & password its not opening easily. After 1 or 2 hours try then only its opening. Its very hard to do for educated people itself. What will unknown parents do? Is there any last date changes? Please take necessary steps to make it easier. If u make it easier so many poor people will get benefit.
