Eligibility of Candidates :

1. Candidates allotted seats through the centralized counseling process for the academic year 2017 – 18.

2. All the provisionally eligible candidates for PMSSS 2017-18, whose name appears in the FINAL MERIT LIST, who have attended centralized counseling and have taken admission to undergraduate courses for Academic Year 2017-18 through centralized counseling.

a. Centrally Funded Institutes (like IITs, NITs, and Central Universities etc) where admission is done through a government conducted national level entrance test and also who have marked their physical and electronic attendance at counseling center.

b. Students taking admissions under MEDICAL STREAM in Institutions approved by respective regulatory authority (Medical Council of India-MCI & Dental Council of India-DCI) and admitted through NEET and have marked physical as well as electronic attendance at counseling center.

AICTE has extended the last date for registration and verification of document for lateral entry admission for diploma holders upto 25th June, 2017 till 5.00 pm.No more extension will be given.

Document verification date for facilitation center for PMSSS 2017-18 has been extended for 10+2 students till 13th June, 2017 24:00 hrs. Kindly visit nearest facilitation center for verification of documents. No Further Extension will be given.

FAQ :
1) Who is eligible for J&K PMSSS Scholarship?
Ans: Eligibility criteria under the J&K PMSSS Scholarship scheme:
1 Domicile Must be domicile of J&K.
2 Education Must have passed 10+2 examination from J&K Board or CBSE school located in J&K.
3 Income The family income from all sources for the Financial Year 2016-17 should not be more than Rs. 6.0 Lakh per annum.
4 Only those willing to study outside the State of J&K.

2) I have passed 10+2 in Commerce stream, am I eligible for engineering?
Ans: No, but you are eligible for Commerce stream under General course approved by section 12(B) of U.G.C. Information is available at website.

3) I have submitted my application, is documents verification at Facilitation Centre is necessary?
Ans: Yes, without documents verification at Facilitation Centre, student is not eligible for Scholarship. A list of Facilitation Centres are available in AICTE website.

4) Is attending counselling mandatory for eligible students for availing benefits under PMSSS?
Ans: Yes, it is Mandatory for all the students to attend counselling in General/Engineering/Medical stream, who wants to take admission his/her own or through centralised counselling for availing benefits under the scheme.

5) I have passed 10+2 in science stream, am I eligible for Medical course under?
Ans: Yes, there is no counselling for Medical Stream with Biology.

However, the candidate who seeks admission in any of the courses in Medical Stream (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc.) on his/her own merit within the sanctioned intake in any of the institutions recognized by the respective Regulatory Bodies & located outside the State of J&K is eligible to avail the benefit of scholarship under this scheme based on the merit at class 10+2 & after qualifying NEET examination.

The number of seats available under the medical stream & documents are to be verified in any of the facilitation centres. They also need to attend counselling for marking attendance only and showing admission proof.
